The Closer - The Complete Second Season

The Closer 2nd Season DVD cover

This is a very well-written show, and anyone who likes good police drama should enjoy it. However, it also might depend on whether you like the lead actress on the show, Kyra Sedgewick. Some people might find her kind of annoying. She is an excellent actress.  Her character is supposed to be annoying because she is so driven to solve cases and doesn't care who she has to push over to do it.  So in that sense, she is not particularly likable, but you might like her anyway. I'm told that she grows on you.

I don't watch this show regularly, but it is definitely good enough to watch. The second season is even better than the first. There are a lot of supporting characters, but this is no NYPD Blue. Sedgewick is definitely the lead, the focus of the show.

There are no extras from what I can tell, except for some unaired scenes.  This show is starting its third season right now, so you might want to catch those as well (it airs on TNT).
