Arrow: The Complete Third Season Blu-Ray
Review by Suzanne Lanoue
9/16/15 |
This is a really good show. It took me a
while to warm up to it because it's so different from the
"Green Arrow" comics I read in the 60's and 70's, but it
definitely has some good characters and very tight writing,
and lots of action. Steven Amell is a large part of why the
show is such a success. He just has some much passion,
energy, and charisma, on and off the screen, that he's this
powerful force to reckoned with. Like a true hero. I mean,
not only is he wonderful on the show, but he's everywhere on
social media as well. He works really hard, and he's very
talented.
Mind you, the rest of the cast is fabulous,
too, and this season they added Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer
(The Atom) before the spin-off show coming later this
season. I used to watch Routh on "One Life to Live,"
and he was a terrible actor, but he was just so gorgeous,
and he had a great smile, and his personality just shone
through. Years later he starred in "Superman Returns," and I
was impressed that he had learned to act a lot better.
Now here he is, playing a hero again, but with even more
warmth and humor. His romance with Felicity has been
very nice.
I've missed some episodes here and there in
the first two seasons, but I do have them on DVD already.
It's great to get the 3rd season and be able to catch up on
last season, too.
The DVD has many great features. Warner
Brothers always packs their DVD's with lots of fun stuff to
watch! This is no exception.
If you like action dramas or comics, or just
good writing with fun characters, you should watch this show
and buy this DVD!
