This is an anthology series, and I only watched the first episode. I did like
it, and I will want to see the rest of the episodes at some point. Each
episode is about a different person, or group of people, but they are all loosely
connected via their relation to the Romanoff family. The characters and
dialogue are very interesting, since it's written by "Mad Men"'s Matthew Weiner.
You'll recognize many famous actors, such as Aaron Eckhardt, Diane Lane, John
Slattery, Katheryn Hahn, Christina Hendricks, Amanda Peet, Corey Stoll, Jon
Tenney, and more.
In the first episode, we see the family dynamics of an old, outspoken woman
(Marthe Keller), and her
nephew, Greg (Eckhart) who's like her son. She lives in a lavish apartment. He's hired an
agency, who keeps sending women to take care of her, but she keeps insulting
them until they go away. He
and his girlfriend, Sophie (Louise Bourgoin), are waiting for the old lady to die, so that they can get the
nice apartment (or sell it). However, the nephew does love his aunt, even
though she doesn't treat him so well. One of the women that is hired to
cook and clean for his aunt, a Muslim woman, is very intriguing and becomes her friend. The story
is very interesting. I can't wait to watch the rest.
