 Jordan Klepper

Review of "Klepper" 5/10/19 by Suzanne
Airs Thursdays, 11:30/10:30 on Comedy Central

Jordan Klepper was pretty funny most of the time on "The Daily Show." He then did another show called "The Opposition" that wasn't very funny.  This show is somewhere in-between those two shows, humor-wise.

Klepper takes to the street to interview various types of people and "report" on them in often hilarious ways.  This is the kind of show where you either love or hate the host. He can be abrasive.

I enjoyed the episodes I watched, where he shed light on people you normally don't get to see much on TV, such as the homeless vets, undocumented dreamers, and pipeline protesters.  It's interesting and entertaining, but I'm not sure if it really works as comedy.

Jordan Klepper is not behind a desk in New York City. Heís sinking in a boat with environmental protesters in a Louisiana bayou. Heís packing moving boxes with one of the nationís first Native American Congresswomen in New Mexico and heís posting bail at the Fulton County Jail. Heís even getting body-slammed by a vet dealing with PTSD in Texas. In Comedy Centralís new docuseries, Klepper leaves the comfort of the studio and embeds on the front lines of Americaís push for change. Punctuated with his self-deprecating wit and lots of way-harder-than-I-thought reality checks, the all-new immersive documentary series Klepper debuts May 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
