the new girl heroes

Review of "DC Super Hero Girls" 3/17/18 by Suzanne
airs Sundays, 3pm on Cartoon Network

This is a new animated series, loosely based on a web series about the DC female superheroes.  They're teenagers here and all go to the same school in Metropolis. In the first episode, Batgirl has to transfer from Gotham but is happy to find other superheroes that she can build a team with.  Her new team members include Supergirl, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Bumble Bee and Zatanna. They fight Lex Luthor's sister, Lena.

It's a very cute girls' show, obviously meant to get young kids, especially girls, involved in the comics and their animated shows. I think I would have really enjoyed this show when I was in elementary or junior high.

Any kid should love this show, but especially little girls. I'm not crazy about this style of animation, but I'm sure they will love it.

Watch the all-new series on Cartoon Network starting March 8. Saving the day is super easy when you're a Super Hero. But stopping evil in its tracks while keeping up grades and managing a social life, all before curfew? Ugh. That's, like, super tough. DC Super Hero Girls are more than crime-fighting besties, they're a diverse group of dedicated super-teens! Working together, they fight the battles of Metropolis and the battles of growing, up all at the same time. Always discovering new ways to control their powers and abilities, these awesome girls are quickly learning (sometimes the hard way) how to deal with the super challenges of being a teenage Super Hero. We all have the power to make a difference. Just make sure to use it for good or you'll find yourself up against those tenacious teens, the DC Super Hero Girls.
