TV Show Reviews
"Travelers" review by Suzanne
I watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. I'll
probably watch the rest because I like SciFi and love Eric
McCormack, who stars in the show.
Airs now on Netflix
We learn in the
pilot that these people from the future are jumping into the
bodies of people right before they die. They take over their
lives, based on what they know about them in the future. One
is a mentally challenged girl who works in a library; one is
a drug addict; another is high school football player;
another is a single mom; and another is an FBI agent.
The way they handled it was interesting because
McCormack's character, the FBI agent, didn't get taken over
until the end, when they're all explaining what happened.
The people from the future are trying to change the world in
a positive way and stop mankind from self-destructing.
They did a good job with casting. I really like the
actors they chose, especially Reilly Dolman, who plays the
drug addict. He's really cute and kind of reminds me of the
kid who stars in "The Shannara Chronicles" on MTV. I'm a
sucker for a guy with long blond hair, what can I say? :)
Anyway, it's a good solid scifi show, and I look forward
to seeing what happens in future episodes.
The last surviving humans discover how to send
consciousness back in time to the 21st century. Inhabiting
seemingly random people, the "travelers" work together to
try to save the human race.
