This Is Us cast

"This Is Us" review by Eva Diaz  9/15/16
Premieres Tuesday September 20 on NBC

I was really excited to watch this show because it looked very good after watching the trailers on NBC.  This is a show about a group of people who share the same birthday, who come into each others' lives in very interesting ways.  The cast includes singer and actress Mandy Moore as Rebecca, and Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes") as Jack, a couple who face a family tragedy.  The show is very well written and the first episode has some very memorable dialouge.

This show draws you in right away from the first episode. You will want to find out what happens in the lives of these complicated characters who have happy and sad times (just like real life). "This Is It" is the best show I've seen on TV in a long time.  I don't want to tell you much about it, so as not to spoil it.  This new show is definitely worth putting on your DVR.

There are also some cameo appearances by Alan Thicke ("Growing Pains") and Mario Lopez ("Saved by the Bell")  I give this show 5 out of 5 stars because I think it will be a big hit for NBC it is.  It really is appointment television.

Sometimes life will surprise you. Starring Mandy Moore (“A Walk to Remember”), Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes,” “Gilmore Girls”) and Sterling K. Brown (“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”), this refreshingly honest and provocative series follows a unique ensemble. As their paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways, we find that several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect. From the writer and directors of “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” comes a smart, modern dramedy that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know.

Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones also star.

Dan Fogelman, Donald Todd, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, Ken Olin, Charlie Gogolak and Jess Rosenthal executive produce. “This Is Us” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.
