Class cast

"Class" review by Suzanne 12/31/16
Premieres in April on BBC America

This is a spin-off from "Doctor Who" about some teens at Coal Hill Academy that have to fight off alien invaders. It's done by some of the same people who make "Doctor Who", "Torchwood" and "The Sarah Jane Adventures." The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) appears in the series as well.

Coal Hill Academy is a school that's been featured many times over the years in "Doctor Who." So far I've only watched the first episode, but it was great. Like a "Doctor Who" movie. I can't wait to watch the rest. There are only 8 episodes.
I think this will be a huge hit and we'll see many more seasons (or series as the Brits call them). If you're a "Doctor Who" fan, this is a must-watch show. If you've never seen Doctor Who, you probably will still enjoy it.

It's clearly aimed at younger people, but it doesn't have an immature feel to it or appear to be dumber than an adult show. I suppose you could say the same thing about "Doctor Who!"  However, sometimes that show does seem more aimed at children.

They did a very good job of casting. I really liked the kid, Greg Austin, who plays Charlie. At times he really reminds me of Patrick J. Adams ("Suits")....something in his expression. They all do very well, though. Make sure you catch this one!
