Apollo Gauntlet

Review of "Apollo Gauntlet" 7/15/17 by Suzanne
Airs Wednesdays 10pm on FX

This appears to be a parody of 80's cartoons like "He-Man." The hero is kind of dumb, but not as dumb as, say, Archer on "Archer." The style of animation (which is pretty bad), reminds me of those 80's cartoons. The show is about a superhero that's sent to the future to defeat evil. He has two magical talking gauntlets.

As a superhero show, it's okay. I think kids would like it. As humor, it could be funnier, but I've seen worse. Like so many shows today, it's based on a web series, this one by a Canadian. Check it out if you like this sort of thing.

Apollo Gauntlet is an American adult animated television series created by Canadian animator Myles Langlois, it follows the eponymous superhero as he fights evil in a futuristic feudal society. The series is produced by 6 Point Harness, Mosaic, and Williams Street.
