"Superstore" review by Eva Diaz  12/1/15
Airs Mondays 1/0c  on NBC

I was intrigued by this show and looking forward to watching the two preview episodes that aired on November 30 "Superstore" is a workplace comedy that takes us inside the workday of employees of stores like Wal-Mart and Target. The show stars America Ferrera ("Ugly Betty") as Amy, the floor supervisor for the store, who struggles to keep her quirky employees from making too many mistakes during the work day. The show also stars Ben Feldman ("A to Z" and "Mad Men") as Jonah, a new employee of Cloud 9 Superstore, who is overqualified to work there.  In the first episode, he starts out as a fish out of water, but in the second episode, he begins to fit in with the rest of the employees of the store.

I didn't find the first two episodes of the show to be too funny, and I thought the characters were al, stereotypes, but NBC gave viewers a bonus episode available on the network's website which I suggest you watch because it was the funniest of the episodes I saw.  The cast seems to hit its stride and come together, and they actually seem to try to fight some stereotypes. The cast  is very good, and although I think this show has room for improvement, I think that viewers will come to love the characters if given the chance. I give this show 3 and a half stars out of 5. The show will air again on January 4.
