Dying to Be Loved

"Dying To Be Loved" review by Suzanne 4/16/16
Airs Saturday, April 16th 8pm on Lifetime

This is your standard Lifetime movie. It stars soap opera vet Linsday Hartley as Jill, a single mom and a lawyer, with a college-age daughter and a fiance.  Jill's daughter, Emily (Paloma Kwiatkowski), has a history of depression but has started dating a young guy, Gary (Jedidiah Goodacre), that doesn't treat her very well (he seems like a real jerk at first, but then later, we find out he's way worse than that).  Eventually, Gary gets Emily into really bad trouble, and then they appear to have committed suicide together.

Jill thinks that they may have faked their death, and she works hard to prove it.  Most of the movie is really exciting, and it keeps you interested. The characters are very well-defined, and the actors do a great job.  Canadian actor Dan Payne plays Jill's boyfriend, Connor.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie, was that at a certain point, Jill seems to act kind of stupid in her actions (I hate when characters do that).  She's supposed to be really smart, yet she goes off on her own, without telling anyone, and puts herself in great danger.  She does a couple of dumb things as you'll see if you watch the movie. I don't want to spoil it for you!

Other than that, it was a really entertaining movie and worth your time. Check it out!

Here's my Interview with Lindsay Hartley (Jill) You can also find more info there about the movie, and a trailer.
