Vicious cast

"Vicious" review by Suzanne 8/9/15
Season 2 premieres Sunday, August 23, 2015 on PBS

Season one of this show was pretty funny, but I thought it could be better. I've watched all of season two now, thanks to PBS, and I have to say they did improve it. It's very funny. I laughed all the way through, and it just kept getting funnier and funnier. The last one was the best. OMG, so funny!

The show is about an old gay couple, Freddie and Stuart, in Britain who say lots of mean things to each other and to their other friends, especially their old hag Violet. In season one, a young man named Ash moves in to the apartment upstairs, and they flirt with him and also give him a difficult time about everything, and meddle in his personal life.

The cast is outstanding and includes award winning actors as Freddie and as Stuart. They just do a masterful job. is excellent as their old friend Violet, who has trouble with her relationships. ably holds his own with the old-timers as young Ash (You may have seen him in "Game of Thrones" or "Misfits").

You really don't watch to miss this second season!! It's just really hilarious.

MORE INFORMATION:

Freddie and Stuart return for a new season of mishaps, break-ups and make-ups.

About the Program

Vicious tells the story of partners Freddie (Ian McKellen) and Stuart (Derek Jacobi), who have lived together in a small central London flat for nearly 50 years. Constantly picking each other apart and holding on to petty slights for decades, Freddie and Stuart are always at each otherís throats, cracking snide remarks aimed at the otherís age, appearance and flaws.

However, underneath their vicious, co-dependent fighting, they have a deep love for one another. Freddie and Stuart are often joined by feisty best friend Violet (Frances de la Tour, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and Ash (Iwan Rheon, Game of Thrones), their young, upstairs neighbor.
