The cast in Kiss makeup

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" review by Suzanne 2/2/15
Premieres Wednesday January 14 on FXX 10pm

It's hard to believe that this show has been around for 10 years. I enjoyed the first season, but after that, I realized it was just the same thing over and over. The show is about these 5 awful and stupid people who are completely self-centered and incapable of maturing or changing, and they just keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and hurt themselves and other people. It's sometimes funny, but again the humor comes from how stupid and selfish they are (and the outrageous things they did). After a while, it's just irritating.

I guess the people who like this show enjoy those same jokes over and over. I don't get it, honestly. After awhile, it's hard to watch.  FXX sent me a disk of this season's shows. Now, again, they are funny, to a certain extent, but then I have to stop watching because, why bother? The jokes are the same. I liked the season premiere, where they're on the plane trying to break Wade Boggs' drinking record...that was pretty funny. The ones after that were not quite as good.

The actors do a great job, but I just don't think it's worth my time to watch. Check it out and see if you agree!

FXX’s original comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is back for a 10th season, so get ready for more misguided dreams leading to blundered schemes from everyone’s favorite bar owners!

The Gang returns to Paddy’s Pub with Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito).

Last season, the gang broke Dee, saved the day (in their minds) and tried desperately (but failed) to win an award. This season, the gang tackles even bigger challenges like beating Wade Boggs’ cross-country flight drinking record, getting their old friend Psycho Pete back to form, competing on a game show and conquering the world of online dating.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia was created by Rob McElhenney. He also serves as executive producer along with Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkel, Tom Lofaro, Scott Marder, David Hornsby and Rob Rosell. The show is produced by FX Productions.

Some promos for the shows:

This coming week: FXX It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 "Charlie Work" Wednesday February 4, 2014 10PM ET/PT
Next On Video When a surprise health inspection falls on the same day as one of the gang’s less hygienic schemes, Charlie tries to keep the gang working together to make sure Paddy’s makes the grade.

Last week: Next On: Psycho Pete Returns  When Psycho Pete, long lost member of the freight train, is released from the mental hospital, Dennis and Dee rush to get him recommitted while Charlie and Mac attempt to restore him to his former hard-partying form.

Next On: The Gang Group Dates  The gang gets into the online dating scene to expand their matchmaking potential.

FXX Premieres  From Sunny to Surreal. Watch the Series Premiere of Man Seeking Woman after the Season Premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Starts January 14 at 10p on FXX.

Empowered Dee’s ready to start the season off with a bang. The bird is back this January on FXX.

Better Than Ever The Gang is back … as bright as ever. Celebrate debauchery and depravity this January on FXX.
