"Extant" review by Suzanne
Airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on CBS

This show premiered a couple of weeks ago, and it is very good scifi. A good friend of mine was visiting, so we watched it together, and we both enjoyed it. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Halle Barry plays an astronaut who's dealing with her return to Earth. She learns that she's pregnant, even though she was on a solo mission. She has flashbacks to what happened on her mission: some alien or THING came aboard, looking like her dead husband, and she may have had some kind of sex with it. She erased the tapes onboard so no one else could see whatever it was that happened. Meanwhile, another astronaut that supposedly killed himself, shows up alive and warns her not to trust anyone.  To make it more interesting, she and her husband have a robot son that he built, and the son is acting out. Lots of great details and mysteries here!

The characters are all really interesting, and the acting, of course, is outstanding. Unless you really hate science fiction, you really should be tuning in to this fabulous Summer show! I hope it's even more successful than "Under the Dome".
