"Necessary Roughness" review by Suzanne
Premieres Wednesday, June 12 at 10/9 c on USA Network

I love this show, but I'm worried that it won't last past this season. It was almost canceled, from what I read. There may be spoilers here for you, so stop reading now if you avoid them!

Judging from just the first episode, they are changing the cast, and that is not good. Don't get me wrong. I love that they are adding Jon Stamos and David Anders, but I'm not happy about Matt leaving town. I hope he returns. Also, Dani's teenage son is gone, and I didn't see her daughter in the episode, either. Otherwise, it was a good episode about all of the adjustments and the changes she has to face, as well as a young football player that she has to help (he has a fear of flying). At least Nico is still around, and the very end of the episode shows him to be back to his usual plotting!

I look forward to the rest of the season, but I hope that they are able to end the show, if that's what they're doing, with a happy ending, and not a cliff-hanger or a bad ending.

I'm not a sport fan, but I enjoy this show. They should be able to find more viewers like me who love having a show about characters in sports, yet with a woman as the lead character and how she deals with her job, family and love life.
