"Mondays at Racine" review by Suzanne
Airs October 14 on HBO

I think this was supposed to be an uplifting documentary, but to me it is just very depressing. It does shed some light on what it's like to have cancer and to lose your hair, but really, did anyone think that was something good?

The movie is about these two sisters that own a hair dressing salon. Every Monday, they open it up to cancer patients for free. They make wigs, hats etc. for the people who've lost their hair, and shave the heads of the ones that want that done.  Most of the documentary focuses on the various people who are fighting cancer and losing their hair.

I could only watch so much of it because it's just too depressing.  I'm sure that some others may enjoy it.

Here's another article about the show.
