This is one of the best shows on television, and probably
the best superhero show that's ever aired. Now starting its
second season, "Arrow" is still going strong. Even if you
miss some episodes, it doesn't take much to catch up and get
into the story.
The season finale ended with the death of Oliver's best
friend, Tommy, so he and Laurel must come to grips with
that. Laurel is determined now to catch "the hood" as the
press calls him. We see right away this season that Oliver
doesn't want to be called that any more and he has to also
find his way to being a hero and not a hunted vigilante now
that he's decided not to kill anyone.
This season looks very promising as we see more of the
Black Canary as well as more great super villains, see how
Moira gets out of jail (or not), how Thea handles adulthood,
and a whole lot more. So far, it's been really great.
Make sure you don't miss it because it's a fantastic
show, and not just one for us geeks! It's always a great
drama first and foremost.
UPDATE: The show has been just as great this year as
last.
It's been great seeing Barry Allen AKA Flash on the show,
and I can't wait for his new show. They picked a good actor
to play him.
I loved how Oliver has started his journey toward being
"The Green Arrow", much like Clark did in "Smallville". He
decided to quit killing people (that one has been difficult
for him). He's not going by "the mask" any more; he's going
by "Arrow" which is a good step. He has a new mask now,
developed by Barry Allen (which is a nice tough).
The show returns January 15th with a new episode "Blast
Radius". At the end of the last show, there was a huge
explosion and Barry Allen was caught in it (turning him,
eventually, into the Flash, but for right now, he's just in
a coma).
There's some tension between Oliver and Felicity in this
new episode. Oliver has trouble with how things are going
with his team. Roy goes through some more changes. We learn
something really shocking about who is behind things that
have been going on lately, and what the person wants to do
to Oliver, and why. There's a LOT of story and action packed
into this episode and you won't be sorry.
