TV Show Reviews
Boss" review by Suzanne
Premieres Friday, May 24th at 8pm on the Lifetime Movie
I enjoyed watching this movie... it is a suspense-drama
like many others on Lifetime and LMN. The unusual thing
about it is that the two "bad guys" are also the movie's
protagonists. They are played by two stars - Linden Ashby
and Jamie Luner - who also played husband and wife years ago
on "Melrose Place". They get more story and screen time than
most of the other characters, who are all played by
relatively unknown actors. Yet they are definitely the
villains of the movie. They do terrible things.
The movie is low budget and some of other actors are not
nearly as good as Ashby and Luner. It moves rather slowly at
times, too. Otherwise, though, it is enjoyable. I
interviewed both Ashby and Luner, so I will be posting those
interviews soon as well. What makes this movie interesting,
as Ashby said, is that even though you may know how it ends,
but you don't know how the story will get there. Tune in to
watch it! Luner in particular is excellent in her role.
My interviews with
Jamie Luner and
Jamie Luner and Linden Ashby star in "The Perfect Boss," which will premiere on LMN
on Friday, May 24 at 8pm ET.
The movie reunites Jamie and Linden who played husband and wife in the original "Melrose Place"
Jamie is also recognized for her roles on the NBC series, "Profiler" and her role of Liza
Colby on "All My Children" from 2009 - 2011. She has become the Queen of the TV Movie
starring in no less than seven movies airing on Lifetime over the last few years.
Linden is currently co-starring as Dr. Dan Seaver on "Army Wives." He will return to his role
as Sheriff Stillinski when the series "Teen Wolf" returns to MTV in June. Daytime fans still
recognize him from his roles on "Days of Our Lives" and "The Young and the Restless."
Beautiful, successful Jessica Slade (Jamie Luner) is used to getting what she wants whether she has to use her brains, charm, or body to do it. So when Jessica is hired by Mickelson Pharmaceuticals to fast-track a drug that will keep the company afloat, she’s confident she can convince the FDA to make it happen. What she doesn’t know, however, is that one of the researchers, Don, has discovered that the drug is killing people. When Don threatens to go public with the information and block the drug’s approval, Jessica has him murdered. All goes as planned and Jessica is able to cover up the crime, or at least she thinks she has… What Jessica doesn’t count on is that Don’s pre-med school daughter Renee (Ashley Leggat) finds her father’s death suspicious and launches her own investigation. As Renee digs deeper and starts putting the puzzle together, she discovers the awful truth and without tipping off Jessica or her co-conspirators, must find a way to prove it…
