The Client List

"The Client List" Season 2 review by Suzanne
Fridays 9/8c on CBS

I enjoyed watching "The Client List" last year, so I'm glad it's returning. I love the cast, especially. In the first episode of the new season, Riley (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is very stressed from having to put up with her husband Kyle's (Brian Hallisay) return, and then he gets arrested, making her stress out even worse. She still has his brother, Evan (Colin Egglesfield), to console her, though. She also has to hide her client list from the police and offers something to the shop's owner, Georgia (Loretta Devine). We get to see our favorite cop, Nathan, return (Trevor St. John).

I have one minor nitpick. I didn't like how Riley's hair and clothing looked. I thought her hair looked too oily or overly processed, and her clothes look kind of slutty. Just because she's kind of a hooker doesn't mean she should dress like one. Also, Cybill Shepherd returns as her mother, and I thought her hair looked really wonderful!! Made her look even younger.

A lot of exciting things happen in the first episode, and there's a shocker at the end. Don't miss it! I can't wait to see more.

Update: This has been a great season. You don't want to miss the April 21 episode. Riley's financial problems get a lot worse. She finds someone that might be able to help her, but she has to do something that she doesn't really want to do, to get the money.  Will she go through with it? That's the big question. You don't want to miss it to find out. Geoff Stults guest stars. This show always has handsome male guest-stars!

At one point, there is a moment where Riley wears an unusual outfit and wig, and it almost seems like a music video. I thought that was odd.  Also, Riley's friend Lacey has to handle a baby shower for her obnoxious sister-in-law. Things don't turn out too well for Riley and Lacey by the end.
