Up All Night

"Up All Night" review by Suzanne
Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC

This show is about a couple that has a baby, even though they've been married a long while. She is a career woman, so he stays home with the baby. They try to keep their normal life going, but the baby shows them that they need to readjust their prioties. They're too old and tired to party all night and then look after a baby as well as work.

It's a good idea for a show, but I didn't find it to be funny enough to bother watching. Christina Applegate stars as the mom. I usually like her, and I have watched most of her shows, but this the first one I didn't really like. Also, sorry to say, but she looks kind of fat. Now, maybe they did that on purpose, since she just had a baby on the show. If you keep watching the show, let me know if she gets skinnier. Not that I really care - it's just something I noticed.

Saturday Night Live vet Maya Rudolph plays her boss, a talk show host. All of the actors do a fine job. It's the writing that needs work. I don't care how much I like the characters. If it's a sitcom, it needs to be funny. That's the whole point. I know, I know, I keep saying that. I hate to sound like an old fart, but most of the TV sitcoms nowadays are not funny.
