Are You There, Chelsea?

"Are You There, Chelsea?" review by Suzanne
Airs Wednesdays 8:30/7:30c on NBC

I thought this show was pretty funny, which surprised me because I don't like most of the comedies out today. They don't seem funny to me. It seems like they are more interested in making likable characters or zany situations then putting in jokes. This show has jokes, and they're funny. At least in the first episode that I watched.

Loosely based on Chelsea Handler and her books, Chelsea is played by "That 70's Show" alum Laura Prepon. She is very funny. Chelsea drinks a lot and has sex, and she is not ashamed of it. There are jokes that I have never heard anywhere else about things like drunk driving and God. I would definitely watch this one if I had time to add another new show to the list.
