Primetime Show Reviews

"The League" review by Suzanne
Thursdays, 10:30 pm on FX

Wow, I thought I had already reviewed this a few months ago, but apparently I forgot. I probably just blocked it out of my mind because I didn't like it.

Comedies have to be funny. To me, this is not funny. It involves a bunch of immature guys who play fantasy football and take it to an extreme degree. It is just boring to me. I didn't find it funny at all.  Somehow it has gotten to a second season.

I feel guilty because FX keeps sending me free disks to watch of the show, and I can't stand it. I can't watch any more.  I'm sorry! LOL!  If you are a guy or really into football, maybe you will enjoy the show. Personally, I am not a big sports fan and football is the worst of all the American sports, to me. So maybe I am not the target audience of this show.

What I don't understand is why they air the show in the summer, since football doesn't start until Fall. shouldn't they be playing fantasy baseball? I don't know...maybe that is too much realism to ask for in a TV show.

You can find tons of information about the show, and many video clips, on our Primetime Forum!
