"White Collar" Season
Premiere Review by Suzanne
Airing on USA Network Friday, Oct 23 at 10pm/9c
I got to watch the season premiere episode of "White Collar"
ahead of time. It was really good. I enjoyed it.
The show is about a non-violent thief who gets out early so that
he can help an FBI agent track down other thieves. Those of us over 40 may
recall an old show called "It Takes a Thief" with a similar premise. This
one is as good as that, if it's possible to compare shows 40 years apart.
Matt Bomer stars as Neal, the thief/con artist. He is
charming, unbelievably handsome, witty, and fun. He skates through life,
getting the beautiful girls and taking it easy. The FBI agent is Agent Burke, a
hard-working cop that sort of resents how Neal gets everything so easy.
They have a fun, bantering relationship.
Matt Bomer was in "Chuck" and other shows. I knew him before
from "Guiding Light". He is really gorgeous and a good actor. The whole cast
does a great job.
This is a fun show, not one that is heavy in drama, although it
does have its dramatic and action-packed moments. In that way it is similar to
other USA Network shows like "Burn Notice" and "Royal Pains".
Neal's girlfriend left him the last time he was arrested, so he
is trying to track her down as well. This adds a little more dimension to
This is a good show and worth your time checking it out! I plan
to keep tuning in.
