Primetime Show Reviews

Knight Rider car and Justin Bruening

"Knight Rider" Review by Suzanne 11/3/08

Wednesdays 8/7 on NBC

I was a big fan of the original Knight Rider back in the 80's. I mostly watched it because of David Hasselhoff and William Daniels (voice of KITT).  I thought they were both pretty cute back then. I was in college, and there weren't a lot of scifi-like shows on TV.  The stories were never that great, and in fact some of them were pretty bad. Still, the car was cool and it was an enjoyable way to pass the time.

Nowadays there are a lot more things to do. We have more entertaining ways to spend our time, a lot more channels on our TV, the internet, video games, etc.  Most dramas have better stories that they did back then, and in fact, so does this new version of the show.

However, they are not that great. It is still a pretty mediocre show. The stories do not shock or even surprise you. They are pretty predictable. The car is even cooler than it used to be, and the star is even cuter than David Hasselhoff was, so maybe that's enough if you like that sort of thing.

There are lots of attractive people of both genders, and there is a lot of exciting action, and did I mention the car is very cool? But don't expect to have to use your brain too much when you watch the show.
