"Dice: Undisputed" Review by Danielle 3/7/07

"Dice: Undisputed’ is a new reality show on VH1. The show revolves around the life of comedican/actor Andrew Dice Clay and his quest for stardom again after being forced into retirement almost two decades ago.

According to Andrew in the opening, he started recording his life with his own handheld camera before being asked to do so by VH1. Throughout the show, the view alternates between the main camera’s view and the view of what Andrew is filming on his handheld camera. The show offers snippets into the life of Andrew at home with his two sons and new fiancé, and his interactions with a misfit crowd that make up his road crew and business related partners.

Personally, while I usually chalk watching celebrities in their daily lives up as a guilty pleasure, the sight of an older grey-haired man still donning the biker jacket to portray this tough guy persona, yet complaining to his road manager for not giving him a neck rub on the plane, doesn’t scream “must see TV” for me.
