Interview with Austin Basis of "Beauty
& The Beast" on
The CW 6/11/15
It was really nice to talk to Austin again! It's a great
show and he's one of the reasons why. He plays J.T. so well.

1. So are you excited about the return for season 3?
2. J.T. was at death's door, but then he was saved. What
happens now?
3. The season 2 finale was kind of a happy ending. Were you
all surprised that it got picked up for a 3rd season?
4. It seems like the CW has put you in this nice summer
niche now...
5. What else can you tell us about season 3?
6. What about the historical flashbacks, will JT be involved
with that?
7. What have you been doing between filming the seasons?
8. I know you have a comedy background and have a lot of
fans from when you did Ghostfacers...
9. Are you going to be at San Diego Comic-Con?

Kruek ("Smallville") and Jay Ryan ("Terra Nova") in the

"Beauty & The Beast" follows Catherine Chandler (Kruek),
who plays a homicide detective who was saved from death by a
superhuman force, and Vincent Keller (Ryan) as a
doctor with a very dark side. Basis
charms as JT Forbes, the hospitable comic relief and
likable confidant of "The Beast" who has been helping
Vincent guard his terrible secret.

Basis has landed roles in some of
TV's fan favorite shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm,"
"Supernatural," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent,"
and "NCIS." Basis is best
known for his role as MATH" the childhood friend and
roommate of Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) in CW's "lifeUNEXPECTED"
alongside Shiri Appleby. When not acting,
Basis is heavily involved as a Celebrity Ambassador
for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and is on the
Celebrity Cabinet for the American Diabetes Foundation. He
also enjoys playing baseball and tennis, hiking with his
wife and writing poetry.
