"Abby?" Jack asks his niece when he finds her in the lunchroom at work. She is there because her mummy took her out for ice-skating. She says that Jack can come next time and maybe Mr. Kim. Jack says that he really doesn't know Mr. Kim that well. Abby thinks that they sure act like they know each other.
"Please tell me that you are not sending a text message to Professor Korbel," Lily says to Colleen who types away from on her cellphone. Colleens says that she is only planning to have coffee with the man. Lily shakes her head at her friend.
Michael is at a door and he sneaks up quietly and tries the knob. The door is locked. "Always prepared," he says pulling some metal gadgets out of this pocket. After fumbling a bit, he gets the door open. He enters quietly, closing the door behind him. He ventures deeper into the dark room and tries to be very, very quiet. CLICK-CLICK! At the same time that Michael hears the noise, the muzzle of a gun is put to the side of his head. He stops moving.
"Turn around," Paul says quietly. Michael turns to see that Paul is the one with the gun on him. "Put that thing away!" Michael shouts. "MICHAEL?" someone shouts from inside that place somewhere. "Phyllis?" Michael asks. He sees his best friend in the prison. "Get me out of here Michael!" Sheila cries. Michael is furious and turns to Paul ordering him to get his best friend out of there. "It's not Phyllis! It's Sheila!" Paul shouts. "No Michael! Please help me! Get me out of here!" Sheila sobs. Michael pulls at the bars trying to get his friend out of there. Paul told him himself that Sheila is dead, so to him, this has to be Phyllis.
Phyllis goes to Lauren's place to visit her for a bit, and tells her that she needs to talk. Lauren listens as Phyllis unloads. "Nick and I had our first fight."
Victor is looking out the window of his office when Nick arrives as requested. Nick asks his father what it is that he would like to talk about that was so urgent. "You lied to me," Victor says turning on his son with the anger of a pit bull.
Amber sees Colleen in the coffeehouse and goes over to talk. "How's it going?" Colleen shrugs. "Everything is fine." Amber asks Colleen if she thought that the kids at school that day figured out that she and Adrian spent the night together. "I think that your secret's safe," Colleen says dryly.
"We need to talk," Jack tells Ashley as he drags her into an empty room at the office. "Abby put it together on her own that Mr. Kim and I are friends. I want you to tell Abby that Ji Min came by the house to talk about work." Ashley will not lie to her daughter or have her daughter lie to support Jack's deception.
"No one knew if you were going to get better and so we all tried to handle things the best we could," Nick explains to his father. He had also promised Brad that he wouldn't say anything. Victor's only point is that he could have helped Nick with Brad and his problems if only he had known. "Do you know what a disappointment it is to know that your son will not come to you in his time of need?" Victor asks. Nick says that will not happen again. Victor agrees.
"Do you and Michael tell each other everything?" Phyllis asks. Lauren says that she and Michael share most things. Lauren can tell that Nick obviously kept a secret from Phyllis. "The important thing is that we worked it out and things are fine now." Lauren knows that the lie must have hurt. She knows cause when Michael lied to her once it was really hard…In fact it sent her into premature labor. Phyllis understands now. "I remember him telling me that if anything happened to the baby during birth, he wouldn't ever forgive himself.
The phone rings as the girls are talking. It is Michael and he wants to talk to Phyllis. "There was a place in my old office where we used to like to have sex and I want you to tell me where that was…" Phyllis tries to be casual sounding when she responds with…'swivel chair'. When Phyllis gets off the phone, she tells Lauren that her husband has a strange sense of humor.
"Now do you believe me?" Paul asks. Michael turns to the demon in the cell. She smiles quietly at him from behind her bars. Michael is confused about all this. "What the hell is she doing here?"
"You said that you found Sheila's body in Argentina," Michael says. Phyllis starts talking as Michael asks his questions and she ends up shouting. "Help me Michael! Help me!" Paul drags Michael to the side and tells Michael that he started looking for Sheila and he couldn’t have everyone getting their hopes up every time that he got a lead. "I was buying something for Fen and I saw Phyllis and something wasn't right. I followed her here. When I finally came and saw all this…I knew…Look around Michael. Take a closer look!" Michael looks at the cell and sees everything. The crib… the furniture… "It's an exact replica of your son's nursery!" Paul says.
"I would like for us to get together," JT says to Colleen over the phone. Colleen says that she is busy. "We can talk later. I have to go." She hangs up and looks up in time to see Adrian at the counter. He turns and finds her smiling at him. He comes over. "I am glad that you responded to my text messages," he tells her.
"I found out about what you did after the fact and I had no choice in the matter," Ashley tells her brother in defense of her position in all this. Jack reminds her that they could go to jail for this. He wonders if she wants that. "I want my life back!" Ashley shouts. "I want my life back with no secrets! And that thing about Victor!" Jack sees the problem now. "This is all about Victor isn't it?"
"This is just like the time when you went against me to the authorities," Victor snaps at Nick. Nick finds keeping Brad's secrets and turning his dad into the authorities to be two different things, even if his father doesn't see it that way. "I make my own decisions! I decide what I think is right and wrong!" Nick shouts.
Lily goes to Daniel's work to find him but he is out somewhere. One of the employees suggests that he is doing a delivery.
Amber is out by her car kicking the tire in anger. She mumbles as she curses. "You need some help?" Daniel asks. She smiles at him. "Oh! Just the man that I was looking for!" She beams at him.
Adrian hasn't found anyone to replace Colleen yet as his research assistant. She smiles. "Oh, and there is a scholarship up that is available and I would like to recommend you for it."
"If you are so damn miserable, why don't you leave then?" Jack asks his sister when he finally loses his temper. Ashley asks if she is being kicked out of the house. "No, I mean why don't you go out of the country? We should be taking full advantage of our relationship with Mr. Kim and The House of Kim. You should go and take a team to do some marketing." Ashley understands. First he tries to send Carmen there, then Billy and now it is her turn. "You are the one who said that you wanted to get out of this. Here is your chance…" Jack points out.
"I hid at this place," Paul explains. "And I waited." Soon Sheila returned. Paul was hiding and he got his gun out and pointed it at the back of Sheila's head when she entered. "Phyllis…" Sheila slowly turned around. "Paul…" He wanted to know what she was doing there. She says that he hasn’t been there before. She looked at the empty cell and pretended to be horrified at the set up. She tries to leave but he was on her and held her up against the bars. Finally, she admitted who she was. "Get behind the bars," he ordered. She told him he was nuts, but he was seeing clearly that day. "Ever since then," Paul tells Michael. "She has been behind those bars…
"It's not that cold out there," Phyllis says to Lauren as she tries to convince her to come out with the baby for an appointment. Lauren is clearly frazzled and comes up with excuse after excuse as to why she can't leave right now. "I have to make a phone call," Lauren says. "You can make the phone call in the car," Phyllis tells her. "Well I don't want to keep you," Lauren says to Phyllis. "That's okay," Phyllis says. "We are going together remember? In the same car… Come on. We are going to be late for our appointment. Lauren stands holding her baby as Phyllis walks to the door. Lauren doesn't move. "Come on Lauren!" Phyllis says staring at the back of her head. "Let's get going." Lauren just stands staring back into the room.
"So you don't miss sunny California at all?" Daniel asks Amber as he fixes her car. Amber likes California but she is growing to like Genoa City as well. "I love working with Lauren and Lily. She is a really cool person. Her friend seems pretty cool too. Colleen seems smart but she doesn't seem like a know-it-all." Daniel says that Colleen is awesome. He has known her about 2 or 3 years. "Her mom is in New York and her dad is here…"
Adrian gets a call but he doesn't answer it. "Not important," he tells Colleen. "If you take the fellowship, you will be working with the world's foremost scholars. You would be working in Rome…" Colleen had no idea.
"I am so tired all of a sudden," Lauren says. "I have been up all night and Fen hasn't been sleeping. I think that I am going to go to this appointment next week." Phyllis can tell that something is wrong. "Are you the only one getting up with the baby?" Lauren admits that she is. Phyllis knows that is too much. "You want me to talk to Michael?" Lauren says that Michael is already under too much stress as it is.
"This is exactly like Fen's nursery…Which means…You were in my house," Michael realizes. "Weren't you? What were you planning you sick freak!" Sheila just smiles at him with her arms crossed. "You were going to kidnap my son and bring him back here weren't you? ANSWER ME!" Sheila says nothing. "Why didn't you tell me?" Paul says that he didn't see any point in him worrying about Sheila too. "Lauren was already worrying herself sick. The best way to give Lauren piece of mind was to show Lauren that Sheila was dead. I even gave her proof." Sheila tells how Paul put her on a slab in a morgue and put a gun to her face to get the picture. "I altered the photo on my computer," Paul shares. Michael gives the detective all his attention now to absorb all of this news. Paul had to do what he did. Somehow Lauren knew that Lauren was near. They could all see that. He had to make sure that she believed that Sheila wouldn't ever harm her again.
"That was fast," Amber praises as Daniel slams the car trunk closed. She tries to pay him but he will not take her money. "Okay! Then I will have to find some other way to repay you."
"When were you planning to tell the police about this?" Michael asks. Paul says that he wasn't ever going to tell the police. "This way I can keep an eye on her myself. No one else knows but me. How did you find out?" Michael confesses to putting a tracking device on the man's car. "How am I supposed to keep a secret like this?" Michael asks. Paul tells him to think about Lauren and his little boy and he will know that this is the right thing to do. This will at least give them some time to think about what they should do next.
"Well you will be happy to know that Korbel is trying to get rid of me," Colleen tells Lily. She tells how Korbel offered her some job in Rome. Colleen sees Amber and Daniel enter the coffeehouse and Lily isn't pleased. "That girl just doesn't quit!"
"Oh!" Ashley says when Victor suddenly comes to her at the elevator. "I didn't see you there!" He could tell that she was distracted just now. "Bad day?" She says that she has been experiencing a bad 'everything'. He asks her into his office for a minute to have a talk and they walk off together.
"I want you to come out to the house…Not to see me but to see Ashley," Jack tells Ji Min over the phone. "We have a little problem that we need straightening out.
"We have a problem with the company and the solution might be for me to go to Hong Kong and sort it out," Ashley tells Victor. "Everything is such a mess. Ever since dad died, everything has been a mess…"
"I saw Amber and she needed help on the road," Daniel explains to Lily. Amber comes over and tells Lily that she is a very lucky girl…
"Can I sit down?" JT asks Colleen at her table. "I know that you don't want to talk right now but why don't we just go back to the loft and watch a movie?" She agrees to go back to the loft, but only to pack her things. "I am moving out," Colleen says.
"What a hug," Lauren says to Michael who practically swallows her up in his arms. "Hey do I get a hug too?" Phyllis asks walking up behind them. Michael looks at her strangely and then hugs her. He learns that Lauren hasn't been to the hospital that day as planned. Phyllis tells that Lauren was tired.
"What are you looking at?" Sheila asks herself as he looks at her image in the mirror. "Trying to figure out a way out of here," she answers. "You built it remember? If there was a way out…" Sheila face turns ugly. "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!" Sheila shouts. She puts her hands over her face and turns her head down. Suddenly she looks up at the mirror again totally composed. "Face it," she says quietly…"You're stuck in here."
