JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
(And or corporate finance for those who don’t read the
small print) Jack explains to his Dad how he took over Newman Enterprises
just to get Jabot back and how Jabot is now actually back in the Abbott
family. (The only other alternative would have been to marry either Nikki
or Victoria) Jack and his father are both in tears and the entire scene is
overdramatized with heavy violin playing . No one is paying attention to
the fact that Victor financed 5% of the deal. At any rate, Old Man Abbott
is coming back to Genoa City to live with his sullen teenager. Mamie is
also back in town, and I can’t figure this one out. Apparently, she
became a multimillionaire in a few years, making enough money to offer to
help finance Jabot, and she wants to work as a maid again.
DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY OF THE WEEK AWARD
This kid really deserves a break. His last father got AIDS
and was run over by a truck, and this one hasn’t done much better. This
situation is hopeless beyond belief. Olivia and Malcolm try to sit down
and talk to Nate about how much they love him although they won’t be
living together anymore, and Nate cracks up.
NIKKI’S MID LIFE CRISIS
Nikki decides to have dinner with Brad and Victoria
happens to spot them in the restaurant. While Brad leaves for a moment,
Vicki scolds her mother and tells her she is making a terrible mistake.
Meanwhile, Victor is on the phone with Ramona asking her to come to Genoa
city for a pharmaceutical convention. (maybe he really does need Viagra)
If Ramona is experimenting with the same type of pharmaceuticals Chet was
using this could be very interesting. Nikki can’t handle Victor’s flat
denial of her request to have another baby, and Brad is happy to lend a
sympathetic ear, and even more sympathetic lips. Brad is willing to drop
everything at Newman Enterprises, including his pants for Nikki.
MACKENZIE IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE ACCOMMODATIONS
While Katherine is lost in space in the third world, Mac
is considering “running away” again. Paul tried to talk her out of it,
and assuage her fears of Jill. Meanwhile, Katherine is still wandering
around trying to find the long lost Brock. It is unclear whether Brock
joined the Peace Corps or another legitimate organization, or if he set up
shop as a one person private contractor missionary.
WHAT WE NEED TO SEE HAPPEN
Noah throw up all over one of Sharon’s sexy housedresses;
Mackenzie become pregnant with Billy’s child; Katherine get kidnapped by
