Mary's Y&R Twists
Mary Redmond's Comedy Twist #3
HIGH FINANCE WITH BUMBLING CORPORATE EXECUTIVES WHO
CAN’T ADD
Jack and Ashley attempt to persuade Jill to finance the
rest of the Jabot deal. They sweeten the pot by suggesting old John “The
Turtle” Abbot might move back to Genoa City .What motivation. Jill
refuses . Jack, Jill and Ashley go up the hill to Victor’s office where
they present him with a folder of papers making an offer to buy out Jabot.
“What?!” storms Victor. “there’s 5% missing!” He immediately
orders Nick to “Call the lawyers” Well, there are only two lawyers in
Genoa City, John Silva and Cricket the Bug Williams. Cricket is meandering
around New York City trying to avoid Mayor Giuliani’s bug spray
campaign, so Nick calls John Silva and before he can answer Jack stops
Victor. Victor will have his five percent in a couple of days.
TRICIA IS OVERACTING THE EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN
Hopefully we will soon be over with the excessive tears
and baby present scenes. Tricia asks the doctor if something is wrong with
her. We all know what’s wrong with her, but apparently its not her
reproductive organs, so we’ll probably have to go through something like
this again soon.
THE QUOTE OF THE WEEK
This goes to Olivia for saying “I’m too busy to be a
basket case” (Doesn’t she see that she already is one?) As I
suspected, they are already interviewing counselors to figure out how to
break the news to Nate. Meanwhile, Callie is on the phone to Detroit
trying to contact Trey, only she can’t get through. Malcolm enters the
door to Olivia’s office while Neil is comforting the Doctor emotionally.
Doesn’t any one ever knock? It is unclear why Olivia is wearing a black
sleeveless evening gown under her lab coat, or if she ever sees any
patients.
