Nick: I know it's not allergies.
Phyllis: I guess you know me well.
Nick: Look, there's country music playing on the jukebox. The smell of grease is hardening our arteries. Can't we be honest with each other?
Phyllis: I just... I-I-I don't want us to go back to how we were-- when we couldn't talk to each other.
Nick: I promise you, that's not gonna happen.
Phyllis: Okay. Here it goes, um... uh... the kiss that... that you gave me, um... it stirred up a lot of emotions for me. And that's why I was crying. You know that. But I've just--I've-- I've been... a hormonal, emotional mess. (Jet engine starting)
Nick: Well, it stirred up a lot of feelings for me, too.
Phyllis: Yeah. Well... (Sighs) there's, um, a reason why I'm so emotional.
Phyllis: I'm pregnant. (Jet engine revving)
Phyllis: Okay, listen, I have to tell you this. You have the right to know this.
Nick: All right, look, you are, uh, you're starting to scare me. Is everything all right with the baby?
Phyllis: Uh-huh. Yeah. You may not be the father.
Nick: Are you serious?
Phyllis: Uh-huh. It may be Jack's.
Nick: So what are your plans?
Phyllis: Uh... uh, my plans? Well, I'm gonna stay in Genoa City and... and raise my baby. Those are my plans. I'm sort of looking forward to everybody's reactions.
Nick: We could, uh, start a betting pool to see who would be the most outraged.
Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, we could do that. My pick is Sharon.
Nick: Good pick.
Nick: No matter what happens, we're in this together.
