Love in Genoa City
Some people think that love is a game but for these people it is a real
thing. First of all, can you give up true love for a friendship? JT really
had to sacrifice being with Mac to help Brittany. Did he really think that
Mac wouldn’t understand if he had told her beforehand? Well, he couldn’t
have helped Brittany if they were just friends. It seems like his heart
wasn’t with Mac. It gave him a chance to run before things got too serious
and he ended up getting hurt. Obviously, he didn’t want to give up the
single life. However, Mac has every reason to doubt his commitment and not
to trust him again. They had just started something, so she hadn’t hurt him,
because Mac didn’t really show her true self or sacrifice anything. They
just slept together. I mean either Brittany or his job will come first
before Mac, so how can she trust him? Now that Brittany is gone, can he
really be happy with Mac?
The second couple is Lily and Daniel and they seem to be a modern-day Romeo
and Juliet. First of all, what is Dru’s problem with Daniel? He obviously
really cares about Lily more than Kevin and Alex. Doesn’t she really need to
know Daniel before she judges him? What happened to Lily and Daniel, is it a
reason for her to hate him even more? Also, did she really think that Daniel
would hurt Lily or that it is all Daniel’s fault about Lily getting
arrested? They will only take Lily’s freedom and it means Lily can’t make
her own choices. I think that she hates Daniel because she can’t control
Lily anymore and Lily is growing up and actually has feelings for someone. I
mean, right now she is supposed to trust Lily to make her own decisions not
to make them for her or ruin her life. Also, did it ever occur to Drucilla
and Neil that if Lily loves Daniel, she will find a way back to him and
there is nothing they can do? For Lily is not giving up on Daniel nor will
Daniel do the same. If her parents love Lily, they will support her and be
happy that she is in love with Daniel before they lose their daughter
forever. Everyone just needs to accept their relationship before they do
something crazy.
Third is Ashley’s confusion between Tom and Paul. I think that she wants to
get the goods from Tom because she has feelings for him. She wants
excitement in her life and that is what Tom provides for her. Also, she is
the type of girl who will fall in love with a bad guy. Her part in setting
Tom up with drugs is all an act to convince Michael that they are part of a
team. She doesn’t really think that Tom is capable of hurting her dad or
Abby and she doesn’t really believe the story about Tom poisoning Lauren.
Where do they think that Tom will get his hands on poison when he doesn’t
have the hook-ups on anything that doesn’t involve Gloria? Since Michael and
Kevin have been standing up to Tom, he has lost his power and can’t do any
harm. However, Ashley is supposedly involved with Paul. Can she trust him to
not put his nose where it doesn’t belong? She might be afraid of doing
something wrong or she will pay and Paul will see to it. It clearly shows
that Ashley is confused and needs to date herself.
