Well, what can we say about Kevin? Usually when someone nearly loses his
life, he gives pause as to how his life is going. I thought this would have
been the perfect time for him to realize he’s done enough damage to other
people to deserve a few kicks to the head. But no, he stays in whine mode
and expects Lauren to help him escape. What a selfish little boy. When he
set himself on fire, all I could think was – what an idiot. When will the
writers make this character grow up?
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Jack Abbott act like the swine he
used to be. Ashley called it tacky when he brought Jill home. It was. I
guess neither one of them recalled John just about popped his clogs when he
put the pieces of that picture together a long time ago. What I don’t get is
why Jill would turn to her ex-husband’s son for a little fun when Larry is
back in town. We could have had a few good shirtless scenes there, although
just looking at his arms is good enough for me.
Great scene between Dru and Lily when Lily told her she realized keeping the
information regarding Kevin a secret would be wrong. I forgot how good
Christel Khalil can be when she’s not in Valley Girl mode. If only she had
more scenes where she could speak sensibly and not act like a snob.
I think the Sharon – Cameron storyline has just about ground to a halt. Will
Nick be stupid enough to accept Cameron’s job offer? I think Nick is right –
Cameron wants a sacrifice for the SEC. Who better than Nick. That would ruin
the family completely. With Nick in jail and Sharon in the nuthouse, Grace’s
revenge would be complete.
Congratulations to Michelle Stafford for winning the Best Lead Actress
daytime Emmy, and to Y&R for winning the best soap award!
