Funniest line
of the week: When Arthur happily announces to Jill and Katherine: “There’s
my baggage!”
Someone on a newsgroup theorized that Arthur’s estranged son could very well
be Brad. We know nothing of his past, except that he was once married to
crazy Lisa. Arthur is constantly bringing up his “lost” son. I quite like
this idea. Wonder how he and Jill will handle being siblings.
So, Vanessa has found out about Damon and Phyllis. I was expecting a more
explosive scene. I’d like to see her tell Jack that’s the reason why she
won’t sign a contract with him. Watch him have another tantrum.
I was disappointed with Abby’s reaction while she was watching the video
from the doorway. I pretty much expected her to spout off a lot of questions
to Ashley, or at least look upset at a) seeing Mummy cry on the video, and
b) finding out her Daddy isn’t her real father. Instead, the writers just
have her toddle off to Gina’s with Colleen, where they’ll bump into Victor
and she’ll blab the news to him. Then Colleen will have to deal with that
and being uninvited to California. “You guys, like I am so bummed out!” Lily
won’t care much, because her attempt at getting Kevin behind bars by setting
him up over Brittany’s fried face has failed. (Think about it.)
Most insulting line of the week: “No, no, I want you to stay here, and I
want you to think long and hard before you do this.”
Okay, exactly who does Paul think he is? If he wants to play Father and
ground a child then perhaps he should high tail it to California. Or New
York. I’m surprised Lauren didn’t give him an earful. She’s a strong,
independent woman. She doesn’t need to be spoken to like that. (No woman
does.) I used to like Paul. Now he’s just too preachy like his mother.
Only in Soapoperaland can someone fall backwards out of a window and get
cuts only on her forehead, none on the back (the wrist cuts are at least
believable). I guess I could add – only in Soapoperaland can a 100-pound
woman lean against a window and shatter it. I found her transformation
amazing – she comes back into the ranch after the hospital visit walking
like her hip is out of place, next she goes home on her own steam and
lightly blows the whole thing off. She must really think Nick is stupid. We
all know he is for not sitting both her and Nikki down and finding out
what’s really going on. This storyline has dragged on long enough.
