Passions Winners & Losers

Winners & Losers by Michele and Cheryl

4/11 - 4/15/05

Ethan/Theresa/Gwen: We liked this story this week. Usually it's the same thing over and over again, but this week, it was a breath of fresh air. There was some movement in the story which was also a nice change. Ethan even finally made a decision between Gwen and Theresa. Wasn't that something? He actually got off the pot and chose Gwen. We loved it. Theresa just knew he was picking her and she got fooled. She used guilt to get him to change his mind and it didn't work. To add salt in Theresa's wounds, he told Gwen, in front of Theresa, that he loved her. Theresa just lost it and the water works began. Of course she went back to scheming again, but it didn't do any good. (9/10)

Shuis/Beth: There wasn't much difference with their story this week except that Shuis got a DNA test done on Marty. They were actually smart enough to have the lab tech get the DNA test on Marty at Beth's house instead of waiting for Beth to take Marty to the hospital. Other than that we had to see Beth getting berated by Edna and Sheridan constantly tell Luis how Marty's her son. (7/10)

Jessica: We are so tired of Jessica and her attitude. Both of them can take a flying leap. She has no reason to keep rebelling against Sam. Sam is doing whatever he can to look out for Jessica and she doesn't even care. Guess we should care that Jessica even has a story since this time last year, you would never know she was still on the show. You would think that we would be grateful. Well, we're not. We are tired of watching her lash out at Ivy. Every time she sees her. Ivy needs to put her in her place. because she is getting carried away with her attitude. Jessica thinks she's got the trump card because of Grace. She thinks by blackmailing Ivy, she will be able to get her way. Ivy needs to call her bluff because there is no guarantee that Sam will get back with Grace just because she may come back home. If anything, Jessica is the one with something to lose. Let's face it. We won't appreciate this story no matter what the writers do with it. It just doesn't make any sense to have Jessica rebel now. It would make more sense to have Simone rebel against her family since she's the ignored one. Sam never isolated Jessica the way the Russells did with Simone. (1/10)
