Michele and Cheryl's Rave #166

6/12/06 - 6/16/06

Gwen ripped into Rebecca
Even though we ranted about this, we think it was time that Gwen realized what Rebecca's plan could have cost her.  Gwen realized that she shouldn't have betrayed her husband.  Granted, he's done worse to her, but that's neither here nor there right now.

Siren told Kay off
It was great when Siren put Kay in her place.  Kay kept telling her to stay away from Miguel because she is a mermaid.  Siren didn't take that lying down.  She reminded Kay that she had to take advantage of Miguel in order to have Maria.  That quickly shut her up.  Kay seems to get amnesia when it concerns how Maria was conceived.  She's not really in a position where she can judge Siren for wanting to get Miguel in the bed.  It's really great that Siren's not taking Kay's attitude lightly.  It's good to see her put Kay in her place.  The writers probably expected the audience to root for Kay, but it didn't work for us.  We found ourselves cheering for the mermaid even though Kay is telling the truth about her.

Sam, Ivy, and Pilar
We saw some strangers this week.  Sam, Ivy, and Pilar were shown again after a long time.  They weren't shown that much, but at least we know that they were on the show.  We were just talking about how long it's been since Pilar was shown and there she was with Sheridan.  Maybe if we talk about some other missing characters, they will show up too.

Luis's reaction to losing Marty
We thought Luis did a great job acting wise when we saw the cab that Beth and Marty were in blow up.  We really felt sorry for him.  It was heartbreaking hearing him say how he lost his son.  It was also heartbreaking hearing him say what he won't get to see him do now that he's gone.  What was even better was how he was focused on losing his son and not just the fact that he would lose Sheridan because of Marty's death.  Since we know the majority of the reason why he went to find Marty was to get Sheridan back.  He showed how he cared about his son.

Theresa and Gwen's conversation
It was good to see them interacting with each other again.  There was actually a moment when they seemed as if they were going to get along.  When Gwen was telling Ethan and Theresa about Alistair, it seemed like they would have been able to get along.  When you think about all of the craziness that has been going on with Alistair, Lena, Spike, etc. it was great to see a normal storyline again.
