Well, some good, some bad again. I guess half good
is better than all bad, right? But there were things I did enjoy
this week. I love the fact Kay's baby made it after all. I
hated the thought they would make her die. I loved the acting by
Molly Stanton as Charity, too. I have to say, it was the first time
in a while that I actually liked watching Charity! She actually had
a personality show through. She has always been so droopy and whiny,
reminding me so much of Eeyore, Pooh's donkey friend, that I couldn't
stand watching or listening to her. She was fabulous as Zombie, though.
Wouldn't you just love to have her come back? I know she was evil
and did rotten things, but she was so much fun, and added so much to the
scenes she was in. Anyway, Charity supposedly made a deal that she
would give Miguel up to save the baby. Of course, we all know there
will be a way out of the deal and she will end up with him anyway, but it
was a gutsy, loving thing for her to do. And I am actually
interested in how this all plays out. I haven't been able to say
that about very many of the plots on this show lately, so that's a nice
I liked Precious' strawberry fantasy, too, believe it or
not. I thought it was so cute!! But.....how does she know
about Rhett and Scarlett? Well, she does watch a lot of TV, so maybe
she saw it on there, but I thought she spent all her TV time on the
shopping channel. Oh, well. It was kind of cute, anyway.
I am still ambivalent as to Precious being on the show, but there
are times when she is just so cute! I loved her wearing the clown
mask, too. And the way Edna talks to her and seems to understand
what she says back is just too funny for words.
The L.A crew is still there. I don't know what else
to say. I am so tired of Fox's dreams all the time, and of Chad and
Whitney's bedroom scenes....yuck!! I wish they would have let them
know they are siblings a long time ago. It's just too hard to watch
those two together, knowing they are sister and brother.....again, yuck!!
I was intrigued by Ethan and Theresa, though. I mean, yes, they
are back together, in a way, but I am so confused as to whether they
are really kissing or just dreaming. I mean, they are kissing, then
they are sleeping, then they are kissing....I don't know about you, but if
I were being kissed that passionately, I wouldn't be sleeping for long.
Yet they seem to be sleep kissing all over the place! I don't know
whether to be happy they are getting together, or amazed they can sleep
through all that. And poor Gwen. She's stuck in that hospital
all the while. I can't wait to see what's going to happen with this
Now on to Sheridan/Luis/Beth, etc. Can this plot get
any dumber? Ok, yes, I know it can. It always does. But
really, sooner or later they have to end this, don't they? Please
tell me yes!! My goodness, now Sheridan is in labor, bleeding,
blindfolded, and wandering around Beth's house free......give me a break!
How did she not hear Luis, Beth, and Edna when they came through the door
right behind her? How did they not smell her? I mean, come on,
she's been trapped in a pit for how many days, no bathroom, no shower.
How could she not smell to high heaven? Ok, that's a gross thought,
but let's get real here. Anyway, she's bumping around the house,
trying to find a way out, and these guys are none the wiser. Well,
ok, Edna and Precious finally saw her, but what kind of cop is Luis,
anyway? I mean, I know several policemen, and nothing gets by them.
They see and hear everything that goes on around them, yet Luis sees
nothing, hears nothing....man, he really needs to get into another line of
work!! I don't know about you but I'm way past ready for this whole
thing to end!! I know Charlie is going to find her and toss her back
down in that pit again, and I really don't want to see that.
Oh, and Liz and TC. Double yuck!! That is so
sick, you know? I mean, ok, she's a skank now and will do anything
to get TC, but he's a married man, and he knows he needs to stop himself,
but he just doesn't want to. Come on!! Being drugged might
lessen his inhibitions, but he can still control himself, and he needs to.
And that woman needs to go back to her island and get her since of decency
back, quick!! I loved her so much on the island, but I totally hate
her now. That is such a bummer! And Eve just keeps going as if
nothing is wrong. Why doesn't she just tell the man what's going on?
I can't believe he would be any more willing to be with Liz than he would
Eve because she lied to him. I mean, Liz has been lying since she
got there, too, and playing him as well. How could he forgive her
for that if he couldn't forgive his wife, the mother of his children, the
woman he supposedly has loved for 20 years or so? It doesn't make
sense to me. I really wish they would just have Eve tell him
everything, expose Liz for the lying, troublemaking witch she is and get
it over with. There would still be plenty of good material dealing
with how TC and Eve would handle the problems it would make, whether they
would stay together or whether she would go with Julian, etc. They
don't need to keep this thing with Liz going. She could stay on the
side, keep trying to cause trouble, but they really need to end this thing
Grace and Sam are looking like they are going to try to
solve their problems, but I'll bet dollars to donuts it won't last long.
I know Ivy and David will come up with some other plan to keep them apart,
and of course it will work. Grrrrrr!!! I am so tired of all
this. I don't even want to talk about this one, it upsets me so
badly. David needs to grow some gonads, and Ivy needs to take a long
ride off a short pier, and they both need to do it yesterday!! Sam
and Grace will have enough angst dealing with Kay and the baby to keep
their story going for quite some time, so they don't need the added hassle
of those two vultures gnawing at them daily, waiting for their marriage to
die completely so they can swoop in and divide the carrion between them.
Give it up already!
I guess while there were some bright spots in this week's
offerings, my main point is still this - get the stories moving, give us
some good times to enjoy for a while, and just be a little more creative
with the stories and characters. It's just what I have been saying
all this time. I wish The Powers That Be at Passions were
listening!! So, until next week, I will just keep watching and
hoping, and I know you will do the same. It is getting harder
and harder, but....you and I both know we will be hanging in there,
waiting for better times.
