OLTL Review

What an emotional week! Having to see the Buchanan clan come
together for the sake of another was very touching this week as
Viki's heart condition worsened. A lot of us has mixed emotions
with seeing Viki have her own week, and losing Ben. Out of all
of Viki's husbands I do believe Ben was the one who loved and
cared for her the most. Ben was always there, always happy,
always helping his Blondie. So it was never a surprise to me
that Ben gave his life to save the love of his life. The
ultimate sacrifice, and a beautiful ending to such a special
romance. Viki's reaction to Ben's death was extremely emotional,
and unfortunately even though I was quite prepared for this I
couldn't keep myself from shedding tears hear and there. The
family was also devastated by this news, and of course the
ongoing reality that their
mother/sister/ex-wife/friend/daughter-in-law could not survive
much longer without a heart. I loved the meeting that the family
had to help decide for Viki, and just the overall somber but
strong bond was truly amazing. There was one particular
Buckhannon who was the most emotional, the most concerned, and
the most devastated by her mother's state. And that was Jessica.
Performer of the week: Jessica
Jessica has always, and will probably remain the baby of the
Buckhannon family. The edition of Natalie will probably never
change her status as the favorite in the family, and the
favorite of Viki. It was quite typical to see her express so
much emotion on the behalf of her mother, and her scenes this
week were powerful, and I think showed much more of what a child
must feel like on the brink of losing a parent. I don't think
anyone else could have gave the terrible news to Viki that Ben
had died. I have expressed not being a big favorite of Jessica
these days but this week she has once again went back to my list
of good characters. All of Viki's children expressed heart felt
grief over their mother, making this storyline more dramatic and
interesting to watch.
Paul/Todd/Kelly/David
First of all, I am actually enjoying what is going on between
these four. Paul's sudden death by the hands of David, Kelly's
belief that she must have killed him, and Todd's aide to Kelly
by disposing of his body was not only hilarious, but showed some
potential between a couple that I think I mentioned only once
before. But first, let me go into what I think about this whole
mess. I LOVE IT! I think David's part in it is genius, and keeps
us wanting and loving Tuc Watkins more and more everyday! I also
like the closeness developing between Kelly and Todd, this is a
couple that I would not mind seeing at all. Someone of you are
going to disagree because most of you will never get over a
Blair and Todd reunion. I love Todd/Blair and in my opinion
maybe one day down the road they will find each other again, but
for now I want Todd to explore his feelings a bit. It's quite
obvious that there may be a hint of feelings for Kelly. The
almost "kiss" on Monday was a must see moment! I was thrilled to
see Todd look at someone else other than Blair on a romantic
level. I am aching to see this develop, and hope it happens
quick!
Until next time!
