Natalia: Oh, that's fun! I never got to chaperone Rafe’s trips. I was always working.

Olivia: Yeah, you know, hanging out with a bunch of school kids, it's not that exciting.

Natalia: Oh, come on! Where are we going?

Olivia: Um...

Natalia: The zoo, or?

Olivia: A landfill. Just grab your tall boots.

Mallet: No, I mean, come on, you know how it is. You're ashamed of something you did in your life, and you drive it out of your mind. I mean, come on, how often do you think about being involved with a married man?

Marina: ( Scoffs )

Mallet: Sorry. Sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up. I'm... that was stupid. I shouldn't have brought up Danny.

Marina: Yeah, well, he was a criminal, and apparently, so are you.

Mallet: I'm so sorry. I should have told you before. I didn't expect it to come out like this, and I didn’t... think for a second that it would prevent us from having a baby.

Marina: Yeah, can you believe those adoption agencies? They don't like to give criminals babies!

Blake: So Alan, tell me, before the whole world figures it out, who do you think the mystery woman is? Hello? "Mother of three"? That would be me.

Mrs. Stambler: Well, good, you're both here. Please, come with me. I assume this is about Mr. Camaletti's application?

Mallet: Yes, yes, it is. Um... let me start by apologizing. I should have returned your phone calls. I was having um... I was having some troubles with certain parts of the forms, and so I...

Marina: I need to say something. We came in here because we want a baby, and we thought that we would be good parents.

Mrs. Stambler: Is there a problem?

Marina: Yes, actually, there is. There is a problem with this whole process. We both understand that you need to know that we are worthy, but all of these forms? I mean, they're so incredibly detailed. It’s... it's like, you feel so horrible if you can't remember the smallest, little thing. I'm sorry. My husband had a time-- a long, long time ago-- where he wasn't in the traditional workforce, so he doesn't have anything to fill in in that part of the forms. Does that mean that he's not qualified? I mean, does that mean that we should be penalized in some kind of way? Because I don't think so. You see, we're cops, and we don't just go to work every day. Every day, we risk our lives for other people. And if that doesn't tell you what kind of people we are, I guess that's just the way it's going to be.
