Doris: The catch?

Ashlee: Yeah, well, you just stood up in front of all of the press and said, "I hope that the District Attorney goes easy on Cooper." Now, I know you want something.

Doris: Well, look, it is not good for the mayor to seem vindictive.

Ashlee: Oh, Mom, you are vindictive. Okay, so what is it going to cost me?

Doris: Come here. At the police station, I saw you and Coop. And I don't know why, but I got it. I mean, it's taken forever, but I got it. I see how happy Coop makes you. And I really, really don't want you to be hurt, Ashlee. And I know that if... I know that you would be hurt if something bad happened to Coop. That's why I said what I said to the press.

Cyrus: Yeah, I know you do. But before we go any further, there's something I need to do to square things with your family.

Marina: Okay.

Cyrus: I need to ask your dad for your hand in marriage.

Marina: ( Laughs ) I'm sorry. Are you kidding me?

Coop: No. Bill Lewis spilled gas all over the restaurant.

Ava: Oh, my God. Are you okay?

Coop: I'm still here. Company is still standing. Those are both wins in my book.

Ava: Well, you called the cops, right?

Coop: No. Ava, if I were Bill Lewis, I'd be pretty pissed, too.

Ava: Wow. Somebody does something like this to you and you just let it go?

Coop: Yes. Because it’s the right thing to do. Not that you'd have any idea what that means anymore.
