Kevin and Lucy today

I'm way behind on watching GH (which is nothing new), but I have been reading spoilers and news, and I even watched a few recent scenes (mostly of Lucy). I've been watching GH off and on since 1984, and I watched every single episode of its spin-off, "Port Charles". I loved that show, especially once they brought on the vampires, angels, witches, time travel, and other weird stuff.

It looks like the GH team is doing a great job of bringing back a lot of old GH and PC favorites. I probably can't even name them all. Anna, Duke, Robert, Ned, Skye, Laura, Scotty... just to name a few. I was happy to hear that Lucy is coming back, and then Kevin as well. I enjoyed seeing Lucy back as her nutty self (although she had mellowed and matured quite a bit on Port Charles) and seeing her mistake John and Sam for Caleb and Sam! They handled that all very well, having everyone think Lucy is crazy.

However, I've been reading some disturbing rumors, and I really hope they're not entirely true. The rumors say that Kevin comes back to town and says Lucy is crazy, all the vampire stuff was in her head. Then Allison comes back to town, with her son, Rafe (named after her former love on PC), but his father is Caleb.  She and Kevin agree that Lucy is crazy. Now, I hope they don't do that, or at least, if they start with that, they better finish with, No, Lucy is not really crazy.

I don't envy the writers, trying to satisfy fans of both shows.  I just hope they are going to try and make us all happy. I hope they don't think that just because "Port Charles" has been off the air for a decade, that we don't remember it and still love it.

Now, very few people want vampires on "General Hospital", or for John and Sam to really be Caleb and Livvie. Vampires were fine on PC because they saved a really boring show, but they would ruin GH.   However, "Port Charles" history is important to its fans. We don't want GH to invalidate all that happened on PC by saying it was all in Lucy's head.  We don't want Lucy to be crazy, either. They'd better come up with some explanation as to why no one but Lucy remembers the vampires, and why John and Sam look like Caleb and Livvie.

While we're at it, I'd really like to know what happened to Lucy's husband Ian;  and the Scanlon family; Jack, Ricky, and Rafe! My heart still hurts to think of my favorite show, "Port Charles", being canceled. Please, GH writers, don't desecrate the memory of that wonderful show that we still love so much!
