SOD 11/24/09

Vivian Arrives in Salem!  Vivian finally makes her way to Salem this week with one thing on her mind: revenge!  When Vivian learns that Carly has been spending time with Mia, she tracks down the teen and pokes around about Carly, to no avail.  Then, Carly learns that she is off the hook for Lawrence’s death because someone else has confessed.  After, she pays Carly a visit at the Brady home.  Needless to say, Carly is shocked to see her old foe.  Vivian tells Carly that she came to Salem to say that she is sorry. 

Ratings for 10/26: 1.9

Gabriela Rodriguez appears on 11/20 as Gabi Hernandez, Arianna and Rafe’s little sister.

Arianna and Brady get closer to the truth about the drug cartel on 11/19.  Melanie kisses Phillip on 11/20.

Nothing But Truth!  Sami gets her baby back, EJ learns Sydney is his and Nicole is arrested.  Last week, Rafe told Sami that Sydney is her biological daughter with EJ; this week, Nicole and Sami have the mother of all showdowns.  The action picks up in Sami’s townhouse, where Sami comes home and finds Nicole about to swipe the $50,000 that Sami had planned to loan her.  Sami demands the truth from Nicole, who is still hoping to wiggle her way out of it.  Sami pushes her “pal” to come clean.  Sami slaps Nicole and Nicole finally admits that Sydney is Sami and EJ’s daughter.  Nicole grabs something as if to indicate that she will get away from Sami however she can and then Rafe walks in with Sydney.  Rafe got the kid and called the police, but Nicole won’t give up without a fight.  Nicole tries to take the baby, but Rafe won’t let her and hands Sydney to Sami.  Sami is thrilled to finally hold her baby in her arms.  Nicole and Sami lock eyes and then Nicole runs, but she runs right into EJ.  Nicole ends up telling EJ the whole story.  While Nicole is still trying to explain why she did it, the cops show up to arrest her.  Sami and Rafe arrive too.  Sami gives Nicole one last moment to hold Sydney before she is hauled away.  After Nicole is taken away, Sami and EJ figure out their next move as Rafe stands by.  Rafe and Sami take Sydney home.  At the station, Nicole prepares to take her lumps.  Nicole gets a visitor: Mia, who overheard Chloe discussing the baby switch and figured it all out.  Nicole then gets another visitor: Brady, who is there to help him.  Brady bails her out of jail and tells her to do the right thing.  EJ, meanwhile, figures out that his father was in on Nicole’s schemes.  EJ confronts Stefano and tries to kill him.

What Will Happen: Mia learns that her baby is dead.  Nicole and Sami face off.  Carly is shocked by a visit from Vivian.

SOW 11/24/09

Gabriela Rodriguez debuts on 11/20 as Arianna and Rafe’s sister, Gabi.

Lee Zagari appears on 11/19 as Matteo, Stefano’s hired assassin.

Nicole is Arrested!  After showdowns with EJ and Sami, Nicole gets carted off to the slammer for her baby-switching scams this week.  Nicole and Sami have it out first, when Sami confronts her about stealing her baby.  Nicole tries to deny everything, but Sami slaps a confession out of her.  Nicole admits to switching Sydney and Grace at birth, but tries to blame it on Sami for denying EJ his daughter.  Sami is ready to kill Nicole when Rafe arrives with Sydney.  Fearing arrest, Nicole takes off and ends up running into EJ and admitting everything to him, too.  EJ rejects Nicole and since Rafe called the police when Nicole took off, it’s not long before the cops, Rafe, Sami and Sydney catch up to her.  Things only get worse at the jail.  Nicole makes her one phone call to Chloe, who rebuffs her.  Then she gets a visit from Mia, who blasts Nicole for everything she has done to her.  Brady soon shows up at the jail, but Nicole doesn’t tell him the whole story.  Brady posts bail, after getting Nicole to agree to apologize to all the people she has hurt.

This Week: Hope fears her marriage is over.  Brady has it out with Victor.  Philip comes to Melanie’s rescue.  EJ attacks Stefano, after realizing his deception.  Arianna and Rafe’s sister arrives in Salem.

Next Week: Brady tracks down Nicole.  Mia and Chad mourn their child.  Hope and Bo have it out.  Gabi finds Arianna’s drugs.  Carly seeks Maggie’s help.

SOD 11/17/09

Sami Learns The Whole Truth!  The truth that Sami is Sydney’s biological mother finally comes out this week, but not before Stefano orders a hit on Rafe.  The drama begins when Nicole discovers Rafe is back in town and turns to Stefano, who decides to hire an assassin to get rid of Hernandez once and for all.  Meanwhile, EJ gets wind of his father’s plan and rushes out.  Rafe meets with his FBI contact on the pier and gets proof that Sydney is Sami’s biological daughter and then a shot rings out.  Rafe hears the shot and ducks for cover and inadvertently hits himself on the head.  When he comes to a moment later, EJ is standing over him.  Rafe thinks that EJ shot at him and freaks out, but EJ shows him the hit man.  Once Rafe gets to Sami, he tells her the truth straight out.  Sami gets upset, but Rafe pieces it together for her and she realizes that he is right.  By the end of the episode, she can’t believe it and wants to get her daughter.  Sami and Rafe split up to try to find Nicole and the baby.  Sami’s phone dies, so she goes back to the townhouse and stumbles upon Nicole, who is trying to steal the $50,000 that Sami was willing to give her.

Hope Wants To Go Home!  Bo accuses Hope of turning Carly in to the cops, but she denies it – and he doesn’t believe her.  Turns out Victor is at fault, and he warns Hope that Carly will cause problems in her marriage, which Hope can already feel happening.  Bo and Hope talk things out and she says that she wants to work on their marriage and move home, but he says no.

Carly comforts a sobbing Mia on the pier on 11/12.

What Will Happen: Justin and Hope grow closer.  Mia blames Nicole for ruining her life.  Nathan and Stephanie share a warm moment. 

SOW 11/17/09

Sami Learns The Truth: Sydney Is Hers!  Rafe gets the DNA results proving that Sydney is Sami’s child this week and after eluding Stefano’s hit man, he finally delivers the incredible news!  The big reveal is set in motion after Rafe’s FBI pal hands him the report confirming Sami and Sydney are mother and child.  Rafe looks at the results and then a shot rings out, but Rafe hits the deck on the pier.  EJ, who knew what Stefano was planning, saves the day by jumping the hired assassin and causing his shot to go awry.  At first, Rafe thinks that EJ shot at him, but quickly realizes that it was a hit man.  Rafe and EJ are hauled down to the police station for questioning.  Then Rafe scurries off with the DNA report, finds Sami and reveals all.  Rafe explains the twisted baby-switch caper and has the DNA evidence to back it up.  When he is finished, Sami realizes it’s true.  Sami wants to call Nicole, but Rafe dissuades her.  He explains that they have to play it careful because Nicole could take off with Sydney.  Rafe and Sami head to the DiMera mansion, but neither Nicole or Sydney is there.  The pair decide to split up to cover more ground.  Soon, Rafe learns from Daniel that Chloe has Sydney, while Sami makes a discovery of her own when her phone dies and she goes to the town house: Nicole trying to snatch the $50,000 that Sami was willing to give her.

Bo’s in a quandary this week, when Hope wants to return home right after Carly is released into his custody.  Peter Reckell opens up about his character’s woes.  Justin and Hope show up at the police station after Carly was arrested.  At first, Bo thinks that they turned her in, but Victor shows up and admits that he called the feds.  Justin comes up with a plan to get Carly out of jail: He has her released into Bo’s custody, but Hope doesn’t take it well.  Hope thinks that it will put Bo in danger.  Hope and Bo end up having a pretty good talk for the first time in a long time.  Hope tells Bo that she wants to work at their marriage and move back home.  Bo asks if Hope wants to come home because she loves him or because she wants to keep an eye on him.  Hope says that she wants to come back because she misses him, but also admits that she is a bit jealous of Carly.  Bo refuses to let Hope and Ciara move back home because he knows that someone is trying to kill Carly. 

This Week: Chloe receives devastating news.  Arianna reveals her undercover mission to Brady.  Vivian decides to take action.  Will chastises Mia.  Nathan vows to keep Melanie from Philip.

Can’t Miss: EJ overhears that Stefano put out a hit on Rafe on 11/10.

Highlight of the Week: Rafe tells Sami that Sydney is hers on 11/12.

SOD 11/10/09

Sami and Rafe Reunite!  At long last, Sami comes face to face with her MIA ex, Rafe.  The reunion happens when Rafe sneaks into Sami’s townhouse to procure a DNA sample that he hopes will prove that Sydney is her biological daughter.  Sami is surprised when she opens the door and he is there.  Rafe decides to keep the truth from Sami until he has proof that her daughter is alive.  They make love and he asks her to trust him.  Sami asks him why he is really back and he says that he can’t tell her, so they agree that she won’t question him too much.  Rafe tells her that nobody can know that he is back in town, so Sami hides him when Nicole shows up at her place.  Rafe then heads out to send the DNA sample to his FBI contact, while Sami visits with EJ at the DiMera mansion and they reach a new understanding.  Sami and EJ then visit Grace’s grave together.

Ratings for 10/12: 1.9

Hope/Carly Showdown!  Hope goes home this week and finds someone sleeping in her bed.    Hope goes to the house to get Ciara’s activity book and decides to straighten up a little.  She goes upstairs and finds Carly in the bed.  Carly introduces herself and tells Hope that she killed Lawrence.  Justin and Bo come in next and Hope confronts her husband.  She gives him 24 hours to turn Carly in.  Hope heads back to the Kiriakis mansion and starts poking around with Victor about Carly and Bo’s past.  Then Carly is arrested.

The feds arrest Carly as she tries to leave the house on 11/5.  Chad and Sydney give blood for a DNA test to determine if Chad is the baby’s father on 11/6.

What Will Happen: Rafe sneaks into Sami’s townhouse.  Hope and Bo argue over Carly.  Lexie warns Chad about Nicole.

SOW 11/10/09

Hope Finds Carly in Bo’s Bed!  Hope returns home and discovers someone in her and Bo’s bed this week, and it isn’t Goldilocks!  Hope goes upstairs to see if Bo went to bed early because he isn’t around when she gets there.  Carly reveals that she is Bo’s ex-fiancee, and he’s letting her stay there because she is in some trouble.  Hope’s not thrilled and relays that just as Bo arrives with Justin.  Hope pulls Bo aside and confronts him about what he’s doing, but he doesn’t want to hear it.  It doesn’t help that neither Justin nor Hope totally believe Carly.  Hope gives Bo 24 hours to rectify things, or promises that she will turn Carly in.  Hope and Justin head back to the Kiriakis mansion, where Victor senses his daughter-in-law is upset.  Carly’s name comes up and Victor gives Hope some insight into why she can’t be trusted.  While Victor raises Hope’s suspicions, Justin tries to reassure her that Carly isn’t capable of cold-blooded murder.  Still, Hope remains unconvinced.  Meanwhile, Carly frets that Hope will give her away, despite Bo’s reassurances that his wife can be trusted to keep her safe.  Hours later, Carly awakens from a nightmare, realizes that she is putting Bo in danger, and attempts to leave.  But when she opens the door, the Feds are there and arrest her, leaving Bo to wonder if his wife turned in his ex.

This Week: Mia is forced to lie to Will.  Victor tells Brady the “truth” about Arianna.  Vivian closes in on Carly.  Lexie warns Chad not to trust Nicole.  Stefano senses EJ is softening toward Sydney and Nicole.

Can’t Miss: Melanie can’t stop fantasizing about Philip on 11/5.

SOD 11/3/09

Bo Sees Carly!  The week begins with Bo trying to process the fact that Hope is moving out with Ciara – and into the Kiriakis mansion.  But being home alone turns out to be the best thing for Bo because he discovers someone breaking into the house and it turns out to be his ex, Carly!  Bo agrees to protect Carly from Lawrence’s clan, but Bo isn’t surprised to hear the Alamain marriage was a bust.  Victor calls Bo and implores him to talk things out with his wife, but Bo is too busy hiding Carly to talk.  Maggie visits and quickly deduces that Bo has company.  She blabs to Hope, so Hope drops by and Bo says that a friend from out of town stopped by.  Carly sneaks out to check on Rafe and Bo follows.  Later, she returns home and breaks down in Bo’s arms.  Bo better be on his toes – Lawrence’s Aunt Vivian is back and determined to make Carly pay for her crime.

Kamall Shaikh first appears on 11/4 as Gus, Vivian’s new partner in crime.

Louise Sorel returns on 10/30 as Vivian Alamain.

Sami/Stefano Showdown!  Stefano summons Nicole back to Salem, which comes as a surprise to Sami, who gave her money to leave town with Sydney.  When Nicole tells Sami what happened with Stefano.  Once Nicole leaves the room, Sami wants to give Stefano a piece of her mind and takes off to do that.  Unbeknownst to Sami, Stefano is considering telling her the truth about Sydney.  As Sami rails at him, she doesn’t let him get a word in edgewise and the few things he does say completely antagonize Sami.  EJ comes in and says something in defense of Sami.  Which prompts Stefano to decide to keep mum.  After, EJ and Sami have a close moment.

Nicole is served papers from Chad calling for a DNA test on Sydney on 10/29.  Rafe explains to Arianna that Sydney is not Nicole’s baby on 10/30.

*HOW SWEEPS IT IS!*  The lowdown on the hottest November stories on every show!  Sami will finally learn that Sydney is her daughter, but EJ is the one who has a meltdown after finding all this out!  Sami and Rafe will be reunited!  Sami and Nicole will have a major showdown and Nicole will decide to run away with the baby after she is arrested.  Nicole will go to jail, which will coincide with Arianne Zucker’s (Nicole) maternity leave.  Carly’s arrival marked the beginning of a huge story!  Hope and Bo are growing apart in their marriage; Carly is there for Bo and Justin is there for Hope.  Arianna confesses to Brady that she is working undercover for the cops and he promises to help her investigate who is running drugs through Salem.  Melanie is torn between Philip and Nathan.  Chloe learns that she can’t have children.  Mia and Chad are devastated when they discover that their baby is the one that died and it will bring them closer.  Arianna and Rafe’s sister Gabby will come to town and fold into the story.

What Will Happen: EJ discovers Arianna’s secret.  Hope confronts Bo about his “houseguest.”  Sami and Brady disagree about Nicole. 

SOW 11/3/09

Hope Moves Out, Carly Moves In!  No sooner does Hope leave her home with Bo than Carly moves in this week, desperate for her ex to protect her from the murderous mess she’s gotten into.  The switcheroo occurs after Bo arrives home and finds Hope packing her things to leave.  Bo offers everything he can, but Hope isn’t interested because she has already found another home sweet home: the Kiriakis mansion.  Bo agrees to go along with it because he realizes that Hope needs more time.  After Hope leaves, Bo discovers someone breaking into the house and tackles them to the ground.  Bo turns the person over and discovers that it is Carly.  Meanwhile, Hope arrives at the Kiriakis mansion, prompting Victor to call Bo and demand that he get over there at once to talk to her.  However, Bo’s a little busy and tells Victor that he can’t.  Bo is giving Hope the time and space that she asked for, besides Bo has his hands full with Carly.  Carly goes on to explain that the Alamains are after her and she needs Bo’s protection.  Bo agrees to help her – provided that she tells him everything.  Bo agrees to keep Carly hidden, but she’s almost discovered by Maggie, who quickly informs Hope that there’s a woman at her house.  Hope shows up to check things out and Bo admits that an old friend from out of town was there, but avoids any facts about who she is.  Then Bo gets back to looking after Carly, who breaks down and admits that she fears for her life.  She also tells Bo that this isn’t just about her, it involves someone else too.

This Week: Brady and Arianna share a passionate night together.  Stefano contemplates revealing all to Sami and EJ.  Stephanie gives Nathan a peace offering.  Philip tells Melanie that she would be happier with him.  Rafe makes contact with Arianna.  EJ discovers a secret.

Can’t Miss: Nicole receives an order for a DNA test on Sydney on 10/29.

Next Week: Mia is distraught over Will.  Lexie warns Chad about Nicole.  Rafe sneaks into Sami’s place.  Hope and Bo argue about Carly. 

SOD 10/27/09

Nicole Comes On To Chad!  Nicole first tries to be friendly, but then flips the switch and tries a line from her old porn film.  Chad doesn’t go for it.  A desperate Nicole then turns to Brady and asks him to run away with her, but he says no.  Help then comes from an unexpected source – Sami – who offers Nicole money to skip town.  Nicole takes Sami up on her offer.  Nicole heads to the airport with the baby in tow and boards a plane to Rio, thinking that she has successfully escaped.

Valerie Wildman returns as Fay Walker, Nicole’s mother on 11/30.

Maggie walks in on an intimate moment between Nathan and Melanie on 10/22.  Stefano discovers that EJ has learned Nicole’s secret on 10/23.

What Will Happen: Nicole tries to seduce Chad.  Carly sees a familiar face at the hospital.  Sami questions Mia about Nicole.  Mia and Will then ask Sami for help. 

SOW 10/27/09

Valerie Wildman returns for a few episodes starting on 11/30 as Fay, Nicole’s mother.

David Leisure appears on 10/21 as DA Woods, who counsels Chad about his options in the situation with Sydney.

Stefano Fights For Nicole and Sydney!  Stefano awakens from his latest medical crisis to learn that EJ has discovered Nicole’s secret about “adopting” Sydney, and she’s taken off with the tyke.  Stefano’s dilemma is set in motion when he asks to see Sydney and Nicole and, judging by EJ’s reaction, realizes that something is wrong.  EJ admits that he doesn’t know where Nicole is and that she has taken off.  EJ explains that Nicole has been deceiving him for months about Sydney and Stefano assumes that his son knows everything about the baby switch.  Stefano asks EJ a couple of questions and realizes that he doesn’t know about the baby switch at all.  Stefano knows that he can still manipulate things.  Stefano tells EJ that Sydney is his granddaughter, as far as he is concerned.  EJ resists, pointing out that Sydney is not a blood DiMera, which forces Stefano’s hand.  Stefano insists that the child is EJ’s.  Stefano suddenly suffers another cardiac episode.  Lexie, afraid that her father can’t handle any more stress, tells EJ that he needs to leave the room.  Stefano quickly summons his minions to find out where Nicole is.  They learn she has taken Sydney and boarded a plane headed for Rio de Janeiro.  Just as Nicole is settling in for her flight, she receives a phone call from Stefano.  Stefano tells her to come back there, but she says that it is too late.  Stefano insists that she come to the hospital immediately and bring Sydney with her.

**November Sweeps Preview**  Stefano and Nicole realize that Rafe is about to expose the truth about Sydney.  Carly’s arrival drives a wedge between Hope and Bo, when Bo is forced to keep secrets from his wife.  Brady will be furious when Victor informs him that Arianna is a drug dealer.  Victor and Vivian reconnect.  Philip urges Stephanie to help him break up Melanie and Nathan.  EJ turns against his father.

This Week: Nicole tries to seduce Chad.  Arianna and Brady secretly reconcile.  Carly takes a huge risk to save Rafe.  Philip blasts Kate for interfering in his love life.  Victor persuades Hope to stay in Salem.

Can’t Miss: Sami gives Nicole money to leave town with Sydney on 10/22.

SOD 10/20/09

Chad Learns Sydney Is “His”!  Chad overhears Nicole and Mia discussing the infant that Nicole adopted and puts it together that it was his daughter (unaware that his biological baby was actually switched with Sami’s and is dead).  Chad confronts Mia, who breaks down and admits it’s true.  The furious teen storms over to the DiMera mansion to claim his child.  EJ answers the door and is in disbelief until Chad tells him the story and EJ puts it together for himself.  EJ calls Nicole to come home.  She is thrilled, thinking that EJ wants to get back together – until she sees Chad there.  Nicole reluctantly admits that her adoption of Sydney wasn’t legal.  Chad keeps asking EJ if he can take his daughter with him, but EJ sends Chad away and he goes right to Mia.  He tells her that he met Sydney, which rattles her.  Chad unloads on her, calling her names and telling her that he hates her.

Ratings for 9/21: 1.8

Carly Rescues Rafe!  Carly’s plane makes an emergency landing and her pal, Omar, spirits her away on his boat.  Carly convinces Omar to sail her up to Salem.  While on board, Carly recalls the events leading up to Lawrence’s murder.  The ship passes a floating body – it’s Rafe!  Omar suggests that they shouldn’t take him aboard, but Carly says that they have to help him.  Rafe comes to when Carly’s life is threatened by someone on the ship and he saves her life.

EJ confronts Brady on 10/14.  Ciara and Hope return to Salem on 10/15.

What Will Happen: Mia reveals all to Will.  Ciara and Hope return to Salem.  Brady comes clean to Melanie. 

SOW 10/20/09

Nicole vs. Chad!  Another shocker threatens to blow apart Nicole’s baby switch scam, when Chad learns that she and EJ adopted “his” daughter.  Chad uncovers the twisted “truth” when Nicole visits Mia, and tells her that their secret is out: EJ knows Sydney isn’t their child.  Mia freaks, but Nicole insists that she has the situation under control.  Little does Nicole know that Chad overhears their conversation.  After Nicole leaves, Chad questions Mia and quickly realizes “his” daughter was adopted by Nicole.  He heads to the DiMera mansion, where he finds EJ and announces that he is Sydney’s father.  EJ in turn phones Nicole and summons her home.  Nicole returns to the mansion with Sydney expecting a happy reconciliation, but then she sees Chad and realizes that it isn’t a good situation.  Of course, Nicole tries to cover.  Chad asks to hold Sydney, but Nicole refuses.  EJ tells Chad to leave, because he has no proof to support his “I’m the daddy” claim.  Alone with EJ, Nicole opens up about how she came to have Sydney.  Nicole says that Mia wanted her to be Sydney’s mother because Chad left her and wasn’t around.  EJ, in turn, admits that he has had second thoughts about Sydney and has decided that he wants her in his life – but not Nicole.  Nicole realizes that she has to come up with a way to stop the situation from spinning out of control, so she heads to an unconscious Stefano’s bedside at the hospital.  Nicole realizes that she has to stop Chad from ordering a DNA test.  She decides to think like Stefano, and comes up with an idea.  Nicole calls Chad to meet her because she is desperate.

It’s an action-packed week for Carly, who survives an emergency plane landing, discovers Rafe’s body and narrowly escapes an attempt on her life.  Crystal Chappell elaborates on all that – and getting lippy with Galen Gering (Rafe)!  Carly’s plane goes down in a town with a port and she calls her friend Omar to take her to Salem on his boat.  Carly admits to Omar that she killed Lawrence.  Carly decides to wait to contact Bo until she gets to Salem because there is an issue with people monitoring her.  All of that takes a backseat when the captain spots a man in the water and the crew fishes out Rafe.  Carly resuscitates Rafe and manages to bring his temperature up, but then a crew member pulls a gun on her.  It is one of Lawrence’s minions doing his bidding.  He comes very close to killing Carly, but Rafe manages to pull himself up in time to knock the gun away and saves Carly’s life before collapsing again.  Rafe starts mumbling about a baby and Carly’s priority becomes to keep him alive, which means that she has to take the chance of being seen in Salem to save his life.

This Week:  Lucas wants to make amends.  Melanie tells Arianna that Brady is hurting.  Sami asks Grace to look after Rafe.  Ciara and Hope return to Salem.  Kate gets put in her place.

Next Week: Nicole tries to seduce Chad.  Sami questions Mia.  Carly sees a familiar face.  Victor persuades Hope to stay with Bo.  Mia and Will ask for help. 

SOD 10/13/09

Carly Kills Lawrence!  Carly boards a plane heading for Salem this week after stabbing her husband, Lawrence, to death.  After murdering Lawrence, Carly decides to return to the town she left 16 years ago.  During the trip, she has flashbacks and remembers Bo being very good at protecting people.  Carly tries to call Bo on his cell, but massive turbulence on the plane prevents her from getting through.

Coming Clean!  Nicole finally confesses the truth to EJ – sort of!  Confronted by EJ, who found some damning evidence last week that Nicole had miscarried their baby, his busted bride breaks down and admits that yes, she lost their child, adopted Sydney and passed her off as their biological daughter.  Though he knew it was true, EJ still has a hard time coping with Nicole’s confession.  Nicole insists that they are still a family and can move on from this bump in the road.  Help comes in the form of Chloe, who interrupts the conversation to tell EJ that Stefano has been admitted to the hospital after falling ill at Chez Rouge.  EJ hurries out and instructs his wife not to follow him.  Nicole leaves Sydney with Chloe, then heads to the hospital.  There, EJ tells Nicole that he wants her and Sydney out of the house – forever.  But Nicole won’t go down without a fight and decides to reveal the whole truth – that while Sydney may not be her biological child, she is his, but he doesn’t want to listen.  While they are arguing, Sami arrives at the hospital with Sydney, whom she agreed to babysit when Chloe had to leave the mansion.  EJ refuses to hold his daughter, so Sami hands her off to Nicole.  EJ then tells Nicole that he is serious and wants her and the baby out of the house.  EJ reveals the depth of Nicole’s lies to Sami and asks if he can have Johnny for the night.  Nicole, meanwhile, meets up with Brady and tells him that the secret is out.  He offers to help, but she says no and blames him for everything unraveling.  Nicole checks in to the Salem Inn, then formulates a plan to make things right with her husband. 

What Will Happen: EJ forces a confession from Nicole.  A familiar face returns and calls Bo.  Lucas wants to make amends with Chloe.

SOW 10/13/09

EJ Learns Sydney Isn’t Nicole's!  EJ learns the ugly truth about Sydney this week, when he forces Nicole to confess that the little girl isn’t her biological daughter.  Although Nicole insists that they are still a family and Sydney is still their baby, EJ has no interest in hearing it.  EJ guesses that Dr. Baker helped Nicole get her hands on Sydney.  A desperate Nicole starts to tell EJ that he truly is Sydney’s father, when Chloe interrupts with news about Stefano being in the hospital.  EJ rushes off and against Chloe’s advice, Nicole follows, leaving Sydney with her friend.  EJ tells Nicole to leave and says that he wants her and Sydney out of his house forever.  Nicole tries to make a case for her, Sydney and EJ staying together, and attempts to tell EJ the truth about Sydney again: that she really is his and Sami’s biological daughter.  EJ has no patience for it and firmly announces that Nicole is no longer in his life, but Nicole won’t give up without a fight.  She tries to approach EJ again, but is interrupted by Sami, who has picked up Sydney and is delivering her to her parents.  EJ tells Sami to give Sydney to Nicole and then tells Nicole to take the baby and leave.  Nicole runs off and breaks down in Brady’s arms, while Sami questions EJ.  EJ reveals all of Nicole’s lies to Sami.  EJ tells Sami that he wants Johnny with him that night, and Sami obliges, realizing that EJ is at a desperately low point.

This Week: Sami thanks Philip for getting Lucas into rehab.  Philip tells Victor that he wants a second chance with Melanie.  Daniel gives Chloe the key to his apartment.  Stephanie finds herself the odd girl out.  Kate gloats to Victor about her post at DiMera Enterprises.

Can’t Miss: Stefano collapses on 10/6.

Next Week: Mia reveals all to Will.  Ciara and Hope return.  Brady comes clean.  Chloe sticks it to Kate.  Sami wants to help Nicole.

SOD 10/6/09

EJ Learns The Truth!  Last week, EJ picked up Nicole’s phone and Brady blurted that “the secret is out.”  This week, EJ finally gets a clue.  Nicole and EJ have a confrontation and she isn’t very forthcoming, she claims that Brady called because he is using again.  EJ doesn’t believe her, so he decides that they should leave Paris and talk to Brady directly.  EJ contacts his pilot and the DiMeras head home.  On the plane, Nicole insists that Brady will back up her story.  Once in Salem, Nicole secretly meets Brady in the park so that she can ask him to lie for her, but her suspicious husband has her followed and the conversation is recorded.  While talking to Brady, Nicole mentions her miscarriage, which winds up on tape.  EJ gets the recording and plays it.  Nicole comes back and brings Brady with her.  Brady says that he fell off the cocaine rails and is really sorry.  At first EJ keeps quiet, but then he pulls out his trump card: first, pregnancy padding that he found and then the tape.  Nicole claims that the miscarriage was a couple of years ago.

Chad Learns The Truth!  A stunned Chad overhears Will and Mia discussing the baby she had and confronts his ex.  Mia is understandably rattled that the truth is out.  Mia doesn’t give Chad any information beyond revealing that she put the baby up for adoption.  But Chad is determined to find his little girl, who, unbeknownst to him, is actually dead.  Mia decides to reunite with Chad to keep him from going after their baby, and dumps a devastated Will.  Chad plays along so that he can get more information about his daughter.

Meredith plans to entomb Rafe on 9/30.  Nathan asks Melanie out on a date on 10/1.

What Will Happen: EJ puts Kate on notice.  Daniel issues an ultimatum.  Nicole calls Brady for help.

EJ Learns Nicole Miscarried!  EJ uncovers Nicole’s deep dark secret this week: She had a miscarriage and kept it from him.  Nicole and EJ are in Paris and Brady calls because Chad found out about Mia’s baby.  They have a bad connection and Brady thinks that he is talking to Nicole and says that the secret is out.  EJ, who actually answers the phone, is stunned and full of questions for his wife.  Nicole conjures up another lie about Brady having love life problems and doing drugs again.  EJ isn’t buying it at all and is skeptical.  EJ insists on knowing the truth and announces that they are cutting their honeymoon short and heading home, so that he can confront Brady.  The couple promptly fly back to Salem, where Nicole sneaks off to meet Brady and asks him to corroborate her story that he called her in Paris because he is using again.  Brady tells Nicole what that would do to his family.  Nicole says that his family will forgive him and that her life would be ruined.  Eventually, Brady relents and agrees to lie for Nicole.  Little do the pair know, a DiMera minion is recording their entire conversation.  He later plays the tape for EJ, who is stunned to hear Nicole mention a miscarriage.  Nicole returns and brings Brady with her.  Brady explains why he called in Paris, but EJ tells him to get out.  Alone with his wife, EJ confronts her about her lies and plays the recording of her and Brady discussing her miscarriage.  Nicole still tries to get out of it and tells EJ that she did have a miscarriage, but it didn’t have anything to do with him.  Nicole says that it happened years ago and that it wasn’t his baby.  EJ remains unconvinced, asking his wife point-blank if their child died that night in the clinic, but Nicole swears that she delivered their baby.

Arianna and Sami team up to find the missing Rafe this week, unaware that psycho Meredith has kidnapped him and plans to kill him.  Lindsay Hartley (Arianna) gives us a preview.  Rafe wakes up cuffed to a pipe in the basement and at Meredith’s mercy, while Arianna goes to talk to Sami about her missing brother.  Arianna assumes that Rafe is with Sami or that she’s done something with him, so she goes to confront Sami.  Arianna learns that Sami hasn’t heard from Rafe either and realizes that she was being a jerk.  Sami and Arianna decide that even though they haven’t gotten along in the past, they will work together to find out what is going on with Rafe.  While Sami and Arianna are coming to a truce, Meredith hacks into Rafe’s blackberry and sends goodbye e-mails to both of them, saying he’s left town for a fresh start.  Both women are upset, but end up believing that Rafe left town voluntarily.  Arianna remembers that Rafe disappeared before, but doesn’t want to talk about it.  Later, Arianna bumps into Meredith at The Cheatin’ Heart, where Meredith starts spewing a lot of negative stuff about Rafe.  Arianna realizes that there is something odd with Meredith.  Later, Arianna learns from Roman that Meredith has gone missing and Arianna assumes that Meredith had something to do with Rafe’s disappearance.  In the interim, Meredith takes Rafe’s unconscious body to the pier and rolls him into the river. 

This Week: Victor opposes Chloe and Daniel’s engagement.  Chad vows to find his baby.  Nicole meets her new step-mother-in-law: Kate!  Will asks Sami for advice.  Maggie warns Philip not to hurt Melanie.

SOD 9/29/09

Kate Marries Stefano!  Kate learns the high price of Stefano’s help with the Chloe/Daniel mess: Marriage!  Stefano’s first order of business is to help get rid of any evidence linking Kate to framing Daniel for Chloe’s poisoning.  Roman and Lucas are both suspicious of the nuptials, as is Victor, who ultimately offers to give Kate away at the ceremony.  But Philip is determined to keep his mother from adding DiMera to her name.  Stefano and Kate say “I do” at Chez Rouge, then she moves into the DiMera mansion.

Daniel Proposes To Chloe!  Chloe and Daniel finally have the romantic reunion he’s been waiting for, but not before he has one last confrontation with Lucas.  Lucas comes up and Daniel apologizes for all the heartache and problems that he has caused.  Lucas decks him and Daniel is knocked unconscious.  Finally, Chloe has to go to Daniel because he is unconscious in the hospital.  Daniel is awakened by her voice and her touch and they kiss happily.  Both are then discharged from the hospital and Daniel asks Chloe to move in with him.  Now that he has her back, Daniel wants her for keeps and proposes. 

Lucas falls off the wagon on 9/23.  Brady blurts that Nicole’s secret is out on 9/25.

What Will Happen: Kate learns the price of Stefano’s help.  EJ makes a confession to Nicole.  Meredith hides from Sami. 

SOW 9/29/09

Bryan R. Datillo will be seen less for the next few weeks, since character Lucas is going to rehab on 9/25.

Kate Marries Stefano!  Kate learns the price she has to pay for Stefano disposing of the evidence that she poisoned Chloe and framed Daniel this week, when he tells her they’re getting married.  Kate is furious, to a certain degree, but she has no choice because she doesn’t want to go to prison.  News of the couple’s engagement doesn’t exactly go over well with Kate’s sons or ex-husband.  When she and Stefano bail him out of jail, Lucas is furious and rejects Kate.  Then Kate returns home and Stefano informs her that they’re getting married that night at Chez Rouge.  Meanwhile, Victor learns that Kate put Daniel in the hospital and goes to confront her.  Then, Phillip comes to Kate and begs her not to marry Stefano.  Kate’s wedding is about to get under way when Victor shows up and offers to give the bride away.  Kate accepts and the ceremony begins.  Afterward, Stefano tells Kate that he’ll always take care of her.  Too bad Kate has a fantasy about Daniel when she wakes up next to Stefano the next morning.  Then she runs into her fantasy man on the pier and he’s livid to see that she’s not in jail. 

After escaping from the motel room where Kate held him hostage and tortured him, Daniel reunites with Chloe and proposes.  It’s the happy ending fans and Shawn Christian have been waiting for.  When Daniel gets to the hospital, Stefano already has someone there to arrest Daniel, so he can’t get to Chloe.  Daniel encounters the guard when Lucas comes up and decks him.  Lucas is arrested and Daniel is knocked out cold.  Daniel ends up in his own hospital room, where he is finally reunited with Chloe.  Chloe wakes him up with her voice and sweet kiss.  Daniel promises to protect Chloe and never leave her side.  Chloe has a long talk with Father Matt, where he tells her to follow her heart and be with her true love.  Daniel and Chloe reunite!  Chloe is released from the hospital, but has nowhere to go, until Daniel steps in.  Daniel invites Chloe to stay with him and takes her to his apartment, where he takes care of her – platonically.  Later, Daniel surprises Chloe with a marriage proposal.  Chloe, of course, accepts.

This Week: EJ makes a confession to Nicole.  Melanie is torn between Philip and Nathan.  A drunken bender lands Lucas in the hospital.  Brady questions Arianna about their breakup.  Meredith hides from Sami.

Can’t Miss: Hope tells Bo that she is leaving town with Ciara on 9/21.

Next Week: Will asks for Sami’s advice.  EJ puts Kate on notice.  Nicole calls Brady for help.  Daniel issues an ultimatum.

"Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives." For over one-third of a century, those words have introduced and underscored one of daytime drama's rare mainstays. NBC's "Days of our Lives," which turned 43 in November 2008, remains a consistent favorite among viewers of daytime television serials.
"Days of our Lives" is set in the fictitious midwestern town of Salem. The core families are the Bradys, the Hortons, and the DiMeras, and the multi-layered storylines involve elements of romance, adventure, mystery, comedy and drama.
In the upcoming episodes, Carly (Crystal Chappell) returns to Salem after having been away for 16 years in need of Bo's (Peter Reckell) help. She has committed a murder and because of this she and other close friends are in danger. Bo is the only man she can trust to help her. Her and Bo used to be an item but now he's with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) so her presence will definitely cause some tension in Bo and Hope's relationship. Carly begins her return to Salem on October 5th. "Days of our Lives" airs Monday through Friday on NBC (check local listing for exact time).

SOD 9/22/09

Chloe Wakes Up!  But not before Kate tries to get rid of Daniel once and for all.  The week begins with Daniel luring Kate to a motel room in an attempt to finally get a confession out of her.  Unbeknownst to Kate, Daniel has taped her admission and plays it back to her.  Daniel says that he is going to call the police, but Kate smacks him over the head and ties him up.  Kate is stopped in her tracks when Lucas calls her and reveals that Chloe has woken up.  Kate leaves Daniel tied up, but he knows that the love of his life is up and is determined to get free.  In the meantime, a desperate Kate turns to an unlikely source: Stefano.  Kate and Stefano head back to the motel and discover that Daniel has escaped.  At the hospital, Chloe admits to Lucas that she is in love with Daniel and that he wasn’t the one who hurt her – Kate was.  Chloe then heads out to track down Daniel at the same time that he is looking for her.

Path to Discovery!  Rafe finally figures out that Sydney is Sami’s baby!  The moment of truth arrives this week for Rafe when he puts all the pieces together about the baby swap that Nicole orchestrated with Dr. Baker nine months ago – and realizes that Sydney is actually Sami’s daughter.  Nicole, who has been on edge since Rafe began investigating Grace’s death, tries to get Sami on her side by telling her new pal that Rafe dragged her to the convent in his quest for the truth.  Sami refuses to believe that Rafe is a bad guy.  Nevertheless, Sami heads to the convent to check out Nicole’s story and learns that Nicole wasn’t lying about Rafe bringing her there.  In the meantime, Nicole gets a restraining order against Hernandez.  Unfortunately for Nicole, the restraining order piques Rafe’s curiosity even more.  EJ hears about the restraining order from Judge Fitzpatrick and confronts his wife.  Nicole denies everything.  She and EJ have sex, then she sneaks out to meet Brady in the park and Rafe follows her there.  Rafe overhears Nicole say that EJ can never find out about her miscarriage.  Sami, meanwhile, decides to stay at the convent and after a chat with one of the nuns, calls Rafe to talk things out.  It comes out that Dr. Baker took Grace away from Sami after the baby was born.  A determined Rafe then has another conversation with Sarah, the clinic nurse who worked with Dr. Baker.  Sarah reveals that Dr. Baker was running a baby-selling operation.  Rafe realizes that Nicole had a miscarriage and ended up with Sami and EJ’s baby.  Rafe calls a guy he knows from the FBI, who tells him to do a DNA test.  Rafe calls Sami, but she’s off praying, so Sister Claire answers her phone and takes a message.  Rafe then arrives at Sami’s townhouse to get DNA samples and comes face to face with Meredith.  Meredith smashes him in the head with the fireplace poker.  Nicole, meanwhile, has persuaded EJ to go to Paris for a belated honeymoon – and doesn’t plan on ever coming back to Salem.

What Will Happen: Rafe spies on Brady and Nicole.  Kate turns to Stefano for help.  Sami decides to stay at the convent. 

SOW 9/22/09

Rafe Sets Out to Prove Sydney is Sami’s Baby!  Rafe learns about Nicole’s miscarriage and Dr. Baker’s baby-brokering this week, and has a stunning thought: What if Sydney is really Sami’s child?  Rafe’s initial suspicions are piqued when Nicole hands him a restraining order.  Rafe ignores the restraining order and follows Nicole to a secret meeting with Brady.  He overhears Nicole say that EJ can never find out about her miscarriage.  Rafe doesn’t know when Nicole had the miscarriage, so he doesn’t suspect that Sydney isn’t Nicole’s child.  All that changes, however, when Rafe meets with the nurse at Baker’s clinic.  At first, she won’t tell Rafe everything, but Rafe goes back and presses her until she finally admits that Baker was running a baby-selling operation.  Meanwhile, Sami phones Rafe and reveals that Baker took her baby away right after she was born.  That’s when Rafe realizes that Nicole miscarried while she was pregnant “with Sydney”.  Rafe meets with a former FBI colleague, who gives him the name of an independent lab to go to with DNA samples.  Rafe goes to Sami’s apartment to collect samples for the DNA test, because he is trying to do everything on his own until he has solid proof.  However, when Rafe gets to Sami’s Meredith shows up to apologize.  Rafe says that they can deal with it later because he has something to deal with now, but Meredith won’t leave because it turns out that she is really there for revenge.

After months in a coma, Chloe wakes up, faces Lucas’ wrath, and clears Daniel.  Nadia Bjorlin tells all.  Just as Roman is about to arrest Melanie and Nathan for injecting Chloe with another dose of Daniel’s antidote, she wakes up.  The drug that Nathan injects Chloe with is the same toxic drug that Kate used to poison her, so it’s all questionable, but it wakes her up.  Chloe insists that Daniel wouldn’t hurt her and that they love each other and were planning to go away together before she ended up in the hospital.  Next, Chloe faces off with Lucas.  Lucas says that Daniel tried to kill her, but Chloe tells him that she and Daniel love each other.  Chloe suddenly has a moment where she realizes who did this to her: Kate.  Chloe tells Lucas that he has to believe her because it’s the only thing that makes sense.  Chloe realizes that Kate tried to kill her and framed Daniel.  Then she learns that Daniel is missing.  Chloe decides that she has to find Daniel because Kate is going to try to kill him.

This Week: Arianna is torn between her undercover work and Brady.  Mia tells Will about her pregnancy.  Nathan and Melanie are arrested.  Kate turns to Stefano for help.
