Aiden: After Meredith died, I had to make a home for Chase, help him get through about the worst thing that could happen to a kid, and Bree would not leave us alone. She shoved her way into our life any way she could, lying, making false statements to the police, just twisting and exaggerating things that happened. So I have Chase who's barely hanging on by a thread, and then there's this neurotic, hate-filled woman who's determined to bring me down. I had no recourse but to get a restraining order and to start to put together a case for libel. I had to stop her for Chase's sake. And I think I finally scared her, because the things she said were just so out there. They were so wrong that I might have won. I mean, libel suits are a tough, but I could have won that one.

Hope: Could have won? You didn't file the suit, did you?

Aiden: I didn't. I didn't file the suit because of Chase. Look, he didn't need a father consumed with a court case. He didn't need his parent's personal life on Nancy Grace. What he needed was for me to be there, making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, throwing the ball in the back yard. It's not easy for me to turn my back on a fight, but I did. And since I wasn't gonna fight back, I decided the best thing for us to do was to get out of Portland. And this woman, she won't give up. So while I don't want to go through with an actual lawsuit, I will do whatever it takes to stop her. She will not ruin my son's life with her lies.
