Kayla: Um, yeah. It's, um, it's Steve. He's sending his condolences.

Jennifer: In a text?

Abe: Working on the police force before she went to med school. You know, she was a police officer.

Cameron: Yeah, but hard to imagine my Prada-loving sister in a uniform, hat, and gun.

Abe: If only she could've found a way to beat this.

Jennifer: Abe, it didn't exist. She--she would have found it. She would have done everything to stay with you and Theo. You know that, all of our lives are going to be so completely different without Lex.

Daniel: Hey, nine months is a long time. And I know you used to enjoy a cocktail every now and then.

Nicole: By every now and again, did you mean, all the time? Oh, come on. Daniel. Really, this baby means more to me than that. Now, don't get me wrong. It's not like I'm not going to have a martini shaker in my suitcase the day I deliver, but you can have a drink. I'll live vicariously through you.

Daniel: Predictable, how?

Nicole: Okay. How's this? If it's sick, you cure it. If it's not sick, you act superior to it. And if it moves and wears a dress, you sleep with it. How's that? That was perfect.

Sami: Hey, she's one of the few people who actually gets credited with beating me at my own game.

EJ: Really? That's saying something. You're hardly an amateur when it comes to lying and scheming.

Sami: Thank goodness. Otherwise, I never would have survived being married to you ...

EJ: You know what she always used to say to me? She used to say, "if you and Sami stop trying to destroy one another, you could actually make each other happier than you've ever been." Can you imagine?

Abe: Hey, hey, look, look. Look, look. It wasn't smooth sailing for Lexie and me either.

Marlena: Well, how could it be?

John: Yeah, with Stefano as a father-in-law?

Abe: Uh, excuse me, everyone. Please, let me--let me have your attention, everybody. You know, most of you know that this gathering here tonight was Lexie's idea. And she did a lot of the planning because she wanted everyone to have a good time. So she made me promise that there would be dancing.

Johnny (to Sami): Mommy, why aren't you dancing with Daddy?

Hope: I'd like to offer a toast. To my dear friend, Lexie carver. If a woman is lucky... [Sighs] She gets to have a friend like Lexie. Someone who always listens without ever judging. Someone you can cry with at sad movies. And have a glass of wine with while we watch the kids play happily together. Someone who understands when you just need to vent and complain about life. And then gently reminds you how important forgiveness is. While she was going through the most difficult, worst time in her life, she reminds you to cherish the ones that you love while you still have the chance. I was very lucky. Very, very blessed to have Lexie as my friend. To Dr. Alexandra Carver. I love you, Lex. I will never forget you. To Lexie.

Marlena: I'd like to share a memory of Lexie with you. It was several years ago. We were in Chicago, and we saw a performance of Shakespeare's "The Tempest." In the fourth act, Prospero has a speech after he gives his daughter to the man who loves her. And I turned to look at Lexie, and she had tears running down her face. In memory of that moment with my friend, I would like to read you that speech. "Our revels now are ended. These, our actors, as I foretold you, were all spirits and are melted into air, into thin air. And like the baseless fabric of this vision, the cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, the solemn temples, the great globe itself, yea, all which inherit, shall dissolve. And like this insubstantial pageant faded, leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff as dreams are made on. And our little life is rounded with a sleep." Good night, sweetheart.
