Kate: You're right. The weather wasn't exactly conducive to a relaxing walk. Should we get back to work?

Ian: We can. Unless you want to talk. Maybe you've got something on your mind.

Melanie: Really? Your dad is dangerous and corrupt. What kind of advice is he gonna give you-- put a hit out on the guy?

Chad: Look, my father has contacts, and I just want to make sure none of them have heard anything or... maybe we can get a positive I.D. on the guy--I don't know.

Melanie: So your dad can kill him?

Lexie: What happened? I thought you were watching the show.

Abe: Yeah, it's a rerun. I'd rather spend the time with you.

Woman: We interrupt this program with breaking news. According to sources, prominent Salem resident Stefano DiMera was shot dead in his own home tonight in an apparent homicide. Salem P.D. spokesmen refused--

Marlena: That can't be true. Is it possible?

John: Well, if it is... our dreams have just come true.

Hope: What is that supposed to mean?

Roman: Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but as of right now, you two are suspects.

Hope: Suspects? You can't be serious.

Roman: Can anybody confirm your alibis?

Bo: Are you calling us liars?

Roman: All right... would you say that you were happy about the news, John?

John: Overjoyed. But you already knew that, so why don't you ask us some real questions?

Marlena:  Stefano tried to kill all of us. Why would I ever want to see him? What, give him a second chance?

Roman: Did you or did you not see Stefano?

Chad: God, this is such a nightmare. This is such a nightmare. I came here to ask him a question, and n-now he's dead. He's Stefano DiMera. He's supposed--he's--

EJ: It's okay. It's okay.

Chad: I don't understand why anyone would do this.

Roman: I see. All right, so you're telling me that you relationship with your father was strained. Why is that?

EJ: Same reason it always is. He resents the fact that... I'm trying to take over from him.

Roman: And were you?

EJ: No. I have my own life. I have my own goals. I'm a lot more than just his son.

Lexie: When Roman showed up tonight, I thought that, um, my father couldn't handle the guilt. I thought he killed himself.

Abe: Would that have made any difference?

Will: It's okay. You don't have to be strong. I mean, your husband just died today.

Kate: Yeah, I know. But to be honest with you, I knew this day would come, when all his scheming and plotting would get him killed.

Will: Okay, well, you know where to find me.

Roman: Did you get a match on the prints?

Officer: Yes, sir. A lot of them.

Roman: Eight matches. Well... they're all here-- Abe... Hope... Bo... John... Marlena... EJ... Kate... [Sighs] And Will. One of these people murdered Stefano DiMera. But which one?
