Questions & Comments by Michele & Cheryl

10/31/16 - 11/4/16

We loved the looks on everyone’s faces when they found out that Hope killed Stefano.  Hope thought that everything was over and let down her guard.  Andre was able to get the last laugh by playing the recording in public.  Hope looked like she lost her best friend when her confession was played.  We haven’t looked forward to a reveal in such a long time and we weren’t disappointed.

We applauded Chad when he confronted Hope about killing Stefano.  He seemed to understand at first and then he put her in her place.  What made it better was that he didn’t yell at her.  He calmly put her in her place about what she did and how she thought she could get away with her actions.  We don’t care for Chad, but we were cheering him on this week because he was right to call Hope out for what she did.

Speaking of Chad, we do have a gripe with something he told Rafe.  He told Rafe that he didn’t do anything to him and how he trusted him.  Did he forget that he had Rafe fired from the police department?  Also, what made Chad think that Rafe would betray Hope and tell him what she did?  He wouldn’t have told anyone what Abby did if the shoe were on the other foot.

Deimos should think hard about the way he’s acting towards Nicole for keeping the truth from him.  He must have forgotten that he lied about Xander’s whereabouts.  He had no problem lying about what really happened to Andre.  He will be expecting Nicole to forgive him for what he did if the truth does come out.

Wednesday’s episode was a complete snoozefest.  The episodes were on fire leading up to this episode, but this one was a boring one.  We were practically sitting on the edge of our seats with Hope’s secret being revealed only to be let down by the shift in storylines.  We could have lived without seeing Nicole/Theresa this week when we enjoyed Hope’s demise.  Their stories were the unnecessary speed bumps on an otherwise smooth road.

The writers completely dropped the ball with Chloe’s pregnancy.  If she was having Nicole’s baby, why would she leave Salem and not tell her that she’s having her baby?  How long did Chloe plan on staying away without telling Nicole about the baby?  Chloe didn’t want to tell Nicole about the baby before she left town so she had no intention of telling her.  It’s obvious that the writers changed the storyline in order to reward Nicole with a baby.  They could have come up with a different way to let Nicole have a child.  It wouldn’t be the first time that the writers rewrote a storyline on the show.
