My Opinion by
I mostly kept
up with this week through recaps, but I did manage to watch
some of it. With the fallout of Zack’s death still reverberating
through (most of) Salem, I had to see that.
Shawn/Belle/Philip/Mimi: I thought Shawn and Belle’s shared dream
was adorable. Especially since it was (probably) our last chance to
see Zack. But I can’t believe wasn’t taking the hint from Zack —
Shawn’s the man she loves, and Claire’s his daughter! If I were
Belle, I would’ve figured that out right off the bat! Oh,
well. Needless to say, I won’t comment on Philip or Mimi. Or even
Kate, for that matter. Because I didn’t really watch this storyline
except on Monday.
John/Marlena/Alex: I was so glad this storyline moved forward —
Marlena finally learned the truth about Lois when she was attacked by
her in her office. I was hoping, though, that when Lois finally
did strike, John would be the one to save her, and the
experience would be so traumatic, it’d bring her memory right back and
she would remember John. Alas, Alex saved her, instead, and because
of that, Marlena drew closer to him instead. Sucks.
Austin/Sami/Lucas/Carrie: Looks like the cat’s out of the bag —
Austin took over Carrie’s company, and Austin finally knows Carrie was
the CEO. Worse yet, he let Carrie know that he was the one who took
the company over. Things are definitely not looking good for
them. Sami and Lucas smiling like the proverbial Cheshire cats didn’t
exactly make me happy, either. In fact, they only made me realize
just how over them I am.
Frankie/Jennifer: I fast-forwarded through this storyline, so
Bo/Hope/Max/Chelsea/Billie: Well, we finally got our first glimpse
of Billie after she was absent for several weeks. And she really made
a flip-flop with her opinion of Zack’s killer. First, she said the
“monster” should pay. Then, as soon as she finds out it was Chelsea,
she decides to protect her. And how? By taking the fall for her. I
admit, her intentions are admirable, but stupid. I mean, how’s
Chelsea going to learn how to take responsibility for her own actions
if her mother takes it for her? Oh, well. Hope believed her when she
confessed to it, and now she wants her tried to the full extent of the
law. Bo knows Billie’s innocent, yet he’s doing nothing about it.
Chelsea? Same thing. Enough said. I know Roman appeared in this
storyline, too, but he’s served so little purpose as of late, I can’t
find much to comment on, other than I’m glad Bo didn’t waste any time
telling him the truth.
