My Opinion by
This week had
its moments. Granted, I completely missed it, but I’m going by recaps
I read. So let’s begin.
Shawn/Belle/Philip/Mimi/Victor/Kate: So now Claire’s liver is
failing and she needs a transplant? Man. This is a very sad
occasion. I thought for sure that Victor would tell Caroline. Didn’t
find out what stopped him, but Kate said that he “did the right thing”
by not doing so. In her eyes, maybe. Sorry, but I still don’t
buy that Kate’s keeping Claire’s paternity a secret for Philip. When
it comes right down to it, I think she’s doing it for herself. This
is about how much she hates Shawn, not how much she wants Philip to be
happy. Claire would’ve been cured a lot sooner if it weren’t for her
selfish actions. I used to really love Kate, and no offense to Lauren
Koslow, who plays Kate, but she needs to go. The one bright spot on
this fold? Shawn proposed to Mimi. Good for them, although I think
this is moving along a bit too fast. Obviously, they have a Shelle
reunion on the horizon that may result from the reveal of Claire’s
paternity. Just speculation, but still . . .
John/Marlena/Alex/Roman: From what I’ve read, it looks like they
now want to paint Alex as some born-again saint. A hero, even. I
mean, him trying to tell all involved in this fold that he never hurt
Marlena during their marriage and that Lois is the one out to hurt her
seems a little out there. Just look at the heinous, villainous acts
he’s committed since he first arrived in Salem. I don’t buy that he’s
really a good guy. In fact, I don’t think I buy this storyline
anymore. The only reason I even tune into it is to wait for my
Austin/Sami/Lucas/Carrie: From what I read in the recaps, I was
just about to give Sami all the credit in the world for originally
deciding to just let Austin and Carrie be together and accept that
nothing could break them up. But that all got shot to pot when she
got the idea to use Carrie being the CEO of HighStyle and Austin’s
impending takeover to drive a wedge between them. I didn’t quite read
if Lucas was going to do the same thing, but if I did, I feel about
him the same way I feel about Sami.
Jack/Jennifer/Frankie: What happened to Frankie this week was an
obvious setup by a very-much-alive Jack. How convenient that Frankie
got injured just so that he could stay in Salem. With Jennifer. And
grow closer to her. Which is just what Jack wants. You know what?
Even if it were only a temporary thing, I could go for a
Frankie/Jennifer reunion. At least Frankie’s not a coward like Jack
Bo/Hope/Max/Chelsea: This front seemed fairly quiet. Chelsea’s
taking driving lessons, courtesy of Bo. He even signed some papers so
that she could continue driving, even without her license.
Plus, she’s even allowed to use Bo’s car. Well, what a mistake
that turned out to be. Remember when I said that this front
“seemed fairly quiet?” Well, the “fairly quiet” ended at the end of
the week. After being distracted while driving, Chelsea hit what she
thought was a stump. Turns out it was . . . drum roll, please
. . . Zack! Yes, Zack saw a “kitty” and went out to, I assume, pet
it. He wandered into the street and Chelsea ran him down! Which made
me so mad at myself for missing this, because this is going to
cause some serious drama. And how — if you read spoilers, you know
what sad occasion is coming. If not, don’t read anymore. Skip right
to the end. Because of Chelsea’s carelessness . . . ZACK IS
GOING TO DIE!!!!
just what’s on my mind!
