My Opinion by
I was away on vacation most of this week, so I missed so much of
the show. That's why this weeks column is a few days late, as I just
got back home a few hours ago. I will only be commenting on those
storylines I remember, and that may not be a lot. But here we go,
Chloe/Brady/Nicole/Nancy: I'm sticking to my guns about Chloe
being a coward. She all but confirmed her cowardice this week.
Ultimately deciding to just leave Salem without Brady knowing she was
even there? Sorry, Chloe fans, but she is a coward. But Brady grilling
Nancy (who secretly hoped he'd find Chloe) was good to watch and long
overdue. Nicole? Well, you all know how I feel about her. She's
taken desperation to a whole new level by trying to fly Chloe and
Nancy out of Salem and back to Europe. Well, as she can see herself,
its not working. And its not going to work. She should've given
up as soon as she found out the coward was alive. But she just kept up
the lying and now, its come back full circle. I don't feel an ounce of
sympathy for Nicole. Hope she likes being alone again!
Rex/Mimi/Bonnie: I really don't care about this storyline
anymore. Mimi's been sentenced to fifteen to twenty years in
Statesville. Fine. She deserves it. Sure, she's innocent of Jan's
attack, but she was willing to go to prison, anyway, just to avoid
telling Rex about her abortion. Thus, I reiterate, she deserves it
because her motives are not as selfless as she believes. They are
completely selfish. And not only are they selfish, but they are
also greatly immature. And on some level, I think even she
knows it. Mimi has been keeping this secret for nearly a year now and
its pretty close to destroying her now. And beyond repair, I might
add. She may as well give up and do the right thing. The thing she
could have done from the beginning. Before Rex finds out some other
Shawn/Belle/Philip: I'm really angry at all three of them.
Shawn for showing us even more that he's becoming more and more
selfish and stupid. Belle for continuing to lie to her heart by
leading a completely-oblivious Philip on. And Philip . . . for just
being stupid. At long last, he at least knows that something is up
with Shawn and Belle and he's finally demanded to know what's going
on. I heard Shawn's supposed to tell him a good amount of the truth,
but I don't know how much. However much, I hope its enough to make
Philip wake up to what he's been too blind to see and divorce Belles
flighty ass. Whatever happens, its all leading up to the big choice.
Hope/Bo/Billie: I'm not surprised Bo sided with Billie
regarding the man Belle should be with. After all, he's agreed with
everything else she's said or done, hasn't she? So I'm not
surprised at all. But anyway, Bo's being quite the hypocrite when he
said Shawn should leave Belle alone and stop fighting for her. I mean,
did he not, many years ago, keep trying to fight for Hope after she
married Larry Welch? Now he's saying his son shouldn't fight for the
woman he loves the way he (Bo) did? I cant believe this man. I
give Hope all the credit. She is right on the money. The Philip/Belle
marriage is pretty close to loveless and will remain that way for the
unforeseeable future. Sorry, Phelle fans, but its true. Philip loves
Belle, but she doesn't love him in the same way.
Abe/Lexie/Tek: Abe is an idiot. Sure, so he's impotent.
That doesn't make him any less of a man or a husband. Lexie made that
perfectly clear several times. And that gives him no right at all to
lash out at Lexie and Tek and accuse them of having an affair. By
pushing his wife away the way he did, he pushed her right where Tek
wanted her: into his arms. And his bed. (Well, across Lexie's desk in
her office, but still not good.) Abe had better come to his senses or,
like Celeste said, he's going to lose Lexie to Tek for sure.
And I don't want that to happen to the only black couple on the show!
Chelsea/Max/Abby: Not much I'm going to say here. It just looks
like another storyline in which two girls friendship is endangered
because of a fight over a boy. Yeah, its completely predictable and
I'm going to have to wait a little longer before I can render a
verdict. On the upside, Darin Brooks (Max) is a regular hottie! And
DAYS is finally reaching back into its rich history again and
bringing back some old faces from the past. (Next up, Frankie!) Good
Jack/Jennifer/Patrick: Hooray! Patrick's finally on again this
week! I need my fix of his hot, killer body! As far as
Patrick's concerned, James E. Reilly has turned Jack into another Bo.
All those verbal altercations were just uncalled for. But I'm willing
to give Jack a chance because unlike Bo, at least he has more
of a reason to distrust Patrick. Remember Tony and Barts sick
manipulations while Jack was being held hostage in the castle? But if
Jack goes too far, hell also be on my list. But Frankie's upcoming
return at least means that this triangle is over. Anyway, I cant
believe that Jack is dying! I wanted Jack and Jennifer back together
for longer than this amount of time before they had another
problem. Jack, keeping this secret is just a stupid choice on your
part. Jennifer's your wife, so shell understand wholeheartedly. But
why is he dying? Is his Hodgkins out of remission? Whatever is up, he
needs to tell Jennifer and soon!
Next week, Frankie's back! And Brady and Chloe finally reunite!
Belle makes her decision between the two men in her life! Tune in if
you want to see it!
And that's just what's on my mind!
