My Opinion by
I’d like to write in detailed opinions of every storyline this
week, but I was so sick this week that whenever I tried to
watch the show, I ended up drifting off and missing some very
crucial moments. And then, when I finally started getting
better on Friday, there was a stupid French Open preemption because
of some rain delay. Boring. But all of you in Canada got to see
Friday’s episode because it aired on Thursday for you. But enough
about that. Here’s what I think about the storylines I actually
Chloe/Brady/Nicole: I’m so glad Brady’s found out that
Chloe the Coward is alive and that Nicole’s been lying to him. Maybe
now we can get some movement in this storyline. However, I’m
not as happy that Brady let Tony escape. No, that was a bad move on
his and the writers’ parts.
Mimi: I was glad Mimi wasn’t on all that much this week, so
we didn’t have to listen to her whining. That’s pretty much all I
can say about her.
Jack/Jennifer: So Jack’s possibly getting sick and he’s going
to lie to Jennifer about it. Bad move, Jack. I can’t believe it. He
just got home and already he’s lying to Jennifer. If he’s
getting sick, Jennifer has the right to know about it. It’s rumored
that this storyline is what is supposed to bring Frankie back into
the mix. Fine. Let it be so. Just make this storyline believable.
Hope/Bo/Bille: All I can say here is that Bo had better focus
on being a husband and a father to the kids he knows he has
rather than to the one he doesn’t have yet. He promised Hope
that he’d finally concentrate on his family, but he’s only talked
the talk. Can he walk the walk? Can he stay away from needy Billie
for more than five minutes?
John/Marlena/Roman/Kate/Belle: It’s official. I hate Kate as
much as all of you do. Hearing her spew all that filth about
Sami and Belle was more than an annoyance. It was flat-out
irritating. Even worse than that, John, Marlena, and Roman just
stood there and let Kate trash their kids. Never once heard the word
“Enough!” come out of any of their mouths. If she spoke ill of my
child, I’d be defenestrating her. For all of you who thinks Kate
needs to go, I’m jumping on the bandwagon for that.
Tony/Bart/Sami/Philip/Shawn/Rex/Brady/Lucas: So glad this is
at last over. Sure, Tony’s escaped again, but at least Sami and the
Four Musketeers are all going home. I could care less for what
happens to Philip. All I can say is, he shouldn’t have requested to
head back into combat again so soon after being rescued from
captivity. That’s not even what’s supposed to happen. He was
supposed to have been taken home and debriefed. But he’s right back
on duty. He got stuck in a minefield and nearly blown up. And get
this. He’s going to be an amputee soon. Yeah, I’m done with this
moron. He brought all this on himself. As for Sami and Lucas talking
to Will, loved it. Shawn and Rex’s respective phone talks with Belle
and Mimi, loved them to a point. And, um, I have nothing else to say
here. I pretty much zoned out through everything else this week.
The reunions with the freed hostages will be shown this week, along
with a few other “groundbreaking” events. Look for a Victor/Caroline
sighting, too, and a long-awaited reunion between Sami and her
parents and Rex and Cassie. Even look for Rex to finally share a
moment with his father.
And that's just what's on my mind!
