My Opinion by
This was quite a week, I must say. We had some movement in some
storylines, and the same slow pace in others. I have so much to say
about this week, so here I go.
Jennifer/Patrick/Billie/Bo/Hope: These five had one of the
storylines that gripped me. For starters, Patrick and Billie. The
two of them called each other on their feelings for their respective
crushes. At least Billie didn't deny her lingering feelings
for Bo. But Patrick still won't admit he's falling for Jennifer
(while at the same time, developing somewhat of a crush on Billie).
Speaking of Patrick, I'm still having trouble figuring this guy out.
What is with that call he made last week? Who the heck was he
calling this week? Is he really in on this scheme against
Billie? I don't know. I'll have to find out by watching. I was
really touched by the scenes of Billie trying to revive Chelsea.
Julie did a swell job of portraying Billie's sadness in those
scenes. I might get a lot of you mad, but I backed Billie right up
in blaming the Bensons' deaths on Hope. She let her own jealousy and
paranoia get in the way of her own morality and for what?
Just to hold onto her husband. (I'd usually commend it, but since
there were deaths involved, I can't.) Bo did nothing to make me mad
this week, which was very surprising. And I'll leave it at that.
Finally, Jennifer's scenes with Abby in the hospital were wonderful,
as well. (I loved the flashback to the day she was born. She was
such a beautiful baby.)
Chloe/Brady/Nicole/Sami: Justin thinks Chloe's not a coward.
Just overly insecure. Sorry, Justin, but I disagree. If she'd told
Brady that she was alive months ago, I might've believed that. But
every single time she's had the chance, she's taken the easy way
out. Those are cowardly actions in my book. I'm at least glad
that Chloe's finally realized that Brady will love her for who she
is, not what she looks like. But if she truly knows this, she has to
follow up on that and trust in their love. She is taking Brady's
love for granted, and she may pay big time later. Nicole teaming up
with Sami/Stan to botch Chloe's operation is dumb. Not to mention
Sami/Stan's intentions are sick. Brady didn't do one thing to Sami.
I can't believe she'd want to hurt him. But . . . was that a tiny
bit of concern on her face when she heard Brady was going with Shawn
and Rex to rescue Philip? Probably not. Just wait till she finds out
Lucas is with them, too.
Bonnie/Mimi/Tek: Now, how did Tek know Mimi would turn up at
Jan's country house? I liked the fact that he anticipated their
actions so easily. It was a great move on his part. It must've been
relieving for Mimi to confess everything that happened. Good for
you, Mimi. Now tell Rex. I am very surprised that Mimi admitted
herself that she's a coward. At least now, there's no denying it.
Bonnie tried everything to protect Mimi and it was almost a no-go.
But Mimi ended up safe for now. We'll just have to see if Jan dies
or not. If so, she's going to prison for her murder.
Shawn/Belle/Rex/Brady/Lucas: I can't believe Shawn let Belle
say all those things to him, but I understand why. He didn't want to
give away his agenda. And she's right on some level -- Shawn
is doing something for himself, all right. All he
wants is to rescue Philip so Belle can tell him their marriage is
over when he gets home. I still think this plan is a stupid one if
he only wants to go on the mission for that reason. Rex, Brady, and
Lucas I won't get into. None of them did anything to make me mad.
John/Kate: I can't believe Kate actually let them talk her
into keeping their mission a secret. At least, for the time being. I
can't believe how quickly John figured out what she was going to
tell him, considering how stupid he's been over the last few months.
Boy, John's a very deadly man when you cross him. Something I
haven't gotten the chance to see for myself in so long.
The DiMera Castle: It's finally over. I was glued to my seat.
(Well, to my bed. I watch it in bed as soon as I wake up at,
like, one o'clock in the afternoon and don't really get up until
it's over.) Watching Jack square off with Tony and Bart was
amazing. Even more amazing when he shot him. It was great
to see Victor and Caroline on again. Finally. I was thrilled to see
Bart show the softer side of him I haven't seen in probably a year
when he helped Victor and Caroline escape the castle after helping
Caroline out from under that fallen beam. I pretty much laughed when
he spilled the beans about Roman, Marlena, Jack, and Cassie being
there in the castle, too. (Why on Earth did he and Tony lie to the
captives about the others being there, anyway? They should've told
the truth when they weren't believed.) So, Tony's gone. At least for
now. Good. I've been waiting for him to get his just
deserts for a long time. And now, he has. To conclude this, I
hope Roman, Marlena, Jack, and Cassie find out about Victor and
Caroline -- before they go home without them.
I'm ready, willing, and able to see the long-awaited reunions next
week. I can't wait to see everyone back with the ones they need
to be with. It'll be a good week. Hope you'll all be watching,
because I know I'll be watching!
And that's just what's on my mind!
